Williams Lake Stampede

The Williams Lake Stampede was held June 25-28 at the Williams Lake Stampede in Williams Lake, British Columbia. There was a tie for first in the bareback riding between Ty Taypotat on Mulberry Hill (Duffy Rodeo) and Chett Deitz on Miss Demeanor (Duffy Rodeo), with both riders scoring 88 points to take home $3,840 each. Brendan Laye took first in the steer wrestling with his 4.4 seconds run to earn $5,178. In the team roping, Kavis Drake & Denim Ross took first with their 4.7 seconds runs to bring home $4,518 each. Quinten Taylor took first in the saddle bronc riding with his phenomenal 88.5 point ride on Shattered Lunatic (C5 Rodeo) for $5,008. Haven Meged took first with his 7.6 seconds run to earn $5,381. Meagan McLeod-Sprag was fastest around the can with her 15.07 seconds run for first in the barrel racing to net her $6,119. There was a tie for first in the barrel racing between Kyla Delly and Keely Pugh, with both ladies stopping the clock at 2.3 seconds to take home $3,324 each. There was also a tie in the bull riding between Tanner Skene on Dance Monkey (C5 Rodeo) and Lonnie West on Grundy (C5 Rodeo) for 84.5 points to net them $5,519 each.


C5 Rodeo provided the stock along with sub-contractor Duffy Rodeo. Chona Archachan, Tyson Cardinal, and Owen Patton were the pickup men and Josh Haeberle and Logan Kadlec provided the cowboy protection. This year the total payout was $227,731.70.
