Range Days Rodeo

The Range Days Rodeo took place Aug. 23-25th at the LEI Arena in Rapid City, South Dakota. Everett Reeves was the all-around cowboy and took home $4,347 for entering the tie-down roping and team roping. He also took second in the tie-down roping with his 9.1 point run for another $2,559, and sixth in the team roping paired with header Cort Peterson for their 5.3 run to take home an additional $1,788. Cian Daly took first in the bareback riding with his big 87 points on Deets (Sutton Rodeos) for $2,845. Jacob Wang to first in the steer wrestling for his fast 3.3 seconds run to pocket $2,357. Jon Peterson & Riley Wakefield took first in the team roping for their 4.3 seconds run for $3,378 each. Rusty Wright is proving to be a force to be reckoned with and took first in the saddle bronc ride for his strong 87 points on Lunatic Nation (Burch Rodeo) to earn $3,480. Jerry Adamson took first in the tie-down roping for his 8.7 seconds run to net him $2,900. Danielle Wray took first in the breakaway roping for her quick 2.1 seconds run to bring home $3,910. Piper Cordes took first in the barrel racing for her 16.94 seconds run to win $2,863. Parker Breding took first in the bull riding with his 86.5 points on No. 310 (Burch Rodeo) for $3,369.


The total payout this year was $118,976. Burch Rodeo provided the stock along with sub-contractors Sutton Rodeos, J Bar J, C5 Rodeo, Reeves Ranch Pro Rodeo Company, Triple B Rodeo Inc, Brent Belkham, Brookman Rodeo, Bailey Pro Rodeo, and A Rorey Lemmel Bucker. Justin Kissack and T.K. Sampson were the pickup men and Ely Sharkey, Dane Pokorny, and Austin Rudloff kept the bull riders safe.
