Ride For Redemption

Ride For Redemption kicked off Wednesday night at the historic Cowtown Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas with 22 bull riders competing for five spots in the 2025 PBR Final in Arlington. The five riders that advance on night one will be joined on the second night of competition by the 20 riders who did not advance in Eliminations earlier this week. These 25 riders will get a shot at covering two bulls each. The top five riders in the aggregate will punch their ticket to AT&T Stadium to compete in the Championship on May 17-18.


Maverick Smith secured his spot with a first place finish, going going 2 for 2 with his rides. He first had an 87.5 point ride on Johnny Rocket (Richardson Land & Cattle/Rick Carr/Gene Baker) in Round 1 followed by a 76.75 point ride on Whiskey Trip (Lari Crane/Gene Owen) in Round 2.

Bob Mitchell finished second to secure his spot to Arlington with an 84 point ride on Noslaw Extrasauce (Flying S Bucking Bulls) in Round 1 followed by a 78.25 point ride on Stewey (JD Nix Rodeo Co.) in Round 2.


Smith and Mitchell will be joined by Murilo Henrique de Oliveira, Yan Victor Cunha, and Callum Miller. Oliveira placed third with an 87.75 point ride on Smooth Violation (Farris Cattle/Big Schott Rodeo) in Round 1. Cunha was bucked off in Round 1 by Bamboozle (Farris Cattle/Big Schott Rodeo) in 4.75 seconds, but came back in Round Two with the highest-scored ride, going 87 points on Army Slasher (Bernard Tallman/Farris). Miller was able to earn himself a spot thanks to his 86.75 point ride on Prince Charming (Viducic/Julian Cattle).

The final roster of riders for the 2025 PBR World Finals: Unleash The Beast – Championship has been determined following night two of Ride For Redemption. Elizmar Jeremias, Yan Victor Cunha, Felipe Furlan, Claudio Montanha Jr., and Daniel Keeping all punched their tickets to AT&T Stadium in Arlington with their top five finishes. They will be competing with the 20 riders who have already advanced onto the Championship at Eliminations. During the two night Championship, each rider will attempt to cover two bulls per night in the hopes of securing the most Unleash The Beast points to be crowned the 2025 PBR World Champion, the prized gold buckle, and a one million dollar bonus. There will also be an aggregate winner of those four rounds who will win the 2025 PBR World Finals event title.

Jeremias took first on the second night of Ride For Redemption with his huge 89.5 point ride on Regulator (Humpz and Hornz/Frances Daddy). Cunha took second thanks to his big 88.25 point ride in Round 1 on Tchoupitoulas (Hart Cattle Co./Hale). The third spot went to Furlan for his 87.75 point ride on Bad Bob (B-J Ranch/Hilton Bull Co.). Montanha secured his shot at the Championship with his 87.5 point ride on Time Traveler (Schott/Sutton Rodeo) in Round 2. Keeping punched his ticket to the final by tying with Thiago Salgado for fifth with his 87 point ride in Round Two Bamboozle (Farris Cattle/Big Schott Rodeo) combined with his higher rank in the Unleash The Beast standings.
