One thing is for sure, no matter which team wins, you are going to have a good time at Kid Rock’s Rock N Rodeo. This year there were some kinks worked out from last year and the event ran more smoothly, with fans and rodeo athletes not rocking n rodeoing into the early morning, which was the main complaint from last year. Although some fans did get a bit drenched while waiting to get into the venue due to a few Texas thunderstorms, the wet hair and clothes were quickly forgotten once the show started.

The Jokers absolutely dominated and made it clear they were here to win early in Round 1 by taking first in both the bareback riding and the saddle bronc riding. You could feel the stands of AT&T rocking as Rocker Steiner lit up the arena with his near perfect 90 point ride on Worth the Whiskey in the bareback riding. Brody Cress kept the foot on the gas pedal with his big 86 point ride on San Angelo Sam for their second gold metal. The final two gold metals were earned in the team roping by Jade Corkill and Colby Lovell, and in the steer wrestling by JD Struxness, who posted a fast 5.06 second run.

The Convoy also advanced to the championship round, thanks to their three gold metals. The team under the leadership of World Champion Cody Ohl, took golds in barrel racing from Jordan Briggs’ fast run around the barrels, a gold in the breakaway roping from Shelby Meged’s 2.29 second run, and Riley Webb, who had the fastest hands in the tie-down roping.

In the championship round, Paige Jones got the Jokers off to an early lead with her white hot run to take the barrel racing. The Convoy quickly answered back winning with a quick run by Dustin Egusquiza and Levi Lord to win the team roping. Riley Webb again came in clutch to win in the tie-down roping a second time.

The tables began to turn in the Joker's favor again with an absolutely chaotic and wild steer wrestling battle between Dakota Eldridge and Jesse Brown with Eldridge wining the matchup by wrestling his steer to the ground the fastest. This victory was followed by Cheyanne McCartney winning the breakaway roping and Cole Franks sealed the title of Kid Rock’s Rock N Rodeo Champions for the Jokers with his huge bareback ride. The Jokers earned $500,000, with each athlete and as well as their coaches, Sid Steiner and Joe Beaver, earning $27,778.
