Ramona Rodeo

The Ramona Rodeo was held August 21-23rd at the Fred Grand Arena in Ramona, California. There was a tie for all-around cowboy between Casey Harmon, who competed in tie-down roping and steer wrestling, and Darcy Kersh, who competed in saddle bronc riding and steer wrestling, with each taking home $2,049 each. Tristan Hansen took first in the bareback riding for his impressive 85.5 point ride on Vegas Confused (Championship Pro Rodeo) for $3,314. There was a tie for first in the steer wrestling between Casey Harmon and Darcy Kersh, with both bulldoggers stopping the clock at 4.3 seconds to take home $2,049 each. Bryor Minton & Faron Candelaria took first in the team roping for their 4.5 second run to net them $3,436 each. Kaden Chance Horrocks took first in the saddle bronc riding with his big 85 points on Drifter (Championship Pro Rodeo) for $3,497. Joel Harris took first in the tie-down roping for his 7.8 seconds run to pocket $2,717. Jamie Harris took first in the barrel racing for her quick 15.54 second for $3,200. There was another tie for first in the breakaway roping between Haliegh Grant and Kylyn Watkins, with both ladies stopping the clock at 2.7 seconds to bring home $2,743 each. There was also a tie for first in the bull riding between Kyle Eaton on Bossed Up (Championship Pro Rodeo) and Caelan Reynolds on Unapologetic (Honeycutt Rodeo), with both riders scoring 83 points to take home $7,021 each. Honeycutt Rodeo provided the stock along with sub-contractors Empire Rodeo, Championship Pro Rodeo, Cooper Andersen, and Jace Honey. Bill Stinemates and Tanner Resor were the pickup men and Westlee Jones and Roper Rich provided the cowboy protection.
