PRCA Permit Finals

The PRCA Permit Finals were held October 3-5th at the Extraco Coliseum in Waco, Texas. For three rounds the top permit holders competed to see who would come out on top. Permit holders are not card holders and this finals are limited to those still on their permit. This event is sometimes confused with the Resistol Roundup however rookies are those on their first year of their card, not their permit.
In the first round of the bareback riding, Blayn Hughston took first with his 85.5 points on Scarlette (Cervi Championship Rodeo) for $1,024. Carson Hildre took first in the second round for his 81.5 point ride on Crazy Legs (The Cervi Brothers) for $1,024. Roedy Farrell took first in the third round for his 83 points on High Rolling Sidney (Cervi Championship Rodeo) for $1,024. First in the average went to Jason Wilson for 247 points on three head to net him $1,535.
Kent Jordan took first in the first round of the steer wrestling for his 4.2 second run to earn $1,042. Cameron Haumea took first in the second round for his 3.8 second run to net him $1,042. Riley Barber took first in the third round for his 4.1 second run to earn $1,042. First in the average went to Colin Fox for 15.4 seconds on three head to net him $1,564.
Blake Van Stavern & Trey White took first in the first round of the team roping with their 5.8 second run to take home $1,024 each. Jaxon Hill & Catcher Gasperson took first in the second round with their 5.0 second run to net them $1,024 each. Walker Smith & Will Smith took first in the third round with their 4.8 second run for $1,024 each. Roan Oldfield & Creed West took first in the average for 19.0 seconds on three head to bring home $1,535 each.
Mitchell Story took first in the saddle bronc riding with his 84 point ride on Big Bang (The Cervi Brothers) for $1,042. Easton West took first in the second round with his 82.5 points on Trap Queen (The Cervi Brothers) for $1,042, first in the third round for his 79 points on Lost Hope (The Cervi Brothers) for another $1,042, and first in the average for 245 points on three head to take home an additional $1,564.
Kyan Wilhite took first in the tie-down roping with his 9.1 second run to pocket $1,024. Colton Suther took first in the second round with his 7.8 second run to earn $1,024. Ace Reese took first in the third round with his 8.3 second run to net him $1,024 and first in the average for 27.5 seconds on three head for another $1,535.
Alexandra Daigle took first in the first round of the barrel racing for her16.25 second run to earn $1,024 and first in the second round for her 16.16 second run for another $1,024. Alea Hendrick took first in the third round for her 16.13 second run to net her $1,024. Alexandra Daigle also took first in the average for 48.82 seconds on three head for an additional $1,579.
Ryann Packard took first in the first round of the breakaway roping with the only qualified ride with her 13.1 second run for $1,086. Kimberly Luco, took first in the second round for her 2.4 second run to earn an additional $1,086. Simone Park took first in the third round for her 2.3 second ru to bring home $1,086. Kimberly Luco took first in the average for 5.6 seconds on two head to ne her $1,629.
Hayden Welsh took first in the first round for his 86 point ride on Rat Rod (Cervi Championship Rodeo) for $1,024 and first in the second round for 85.5 points on Preacher (Cervi Championship Rodeo) for another $1,109. Tucker Shoun took first in the second round for his big 87 points on Tater (Cervi Championship Rodeo) for $1,109. Hayden Welsh also took first in the average for 255 points on three head for an additional $1,535.
Quincy Kueckelhan, Cervi Championship Rodeo, and The Cervi Brothers were the stock contractors. Chase Cervi and Taos Muncy were pickup men and Mason Sheldon and Brendall Dunn were the bullfighters.
