Sumter County Fair Rodeo

The Sumter County Fair Rodeo was held October 4-5th at the Sumter County Fairgrounds in Bushnell, Florida. All-around cowboy and $1,114 went to Dawson Cantu who competed in the tie-down roping and team roping. He also took third in the team roping paired with Sam Morgan for their 7.0 run for another $795 and fifth in the tie-down roping for his 10.6 run for an additional $319. Kamry Dymmek took first in the steer wrestling for his 4.6 second run to earn $886. Bradley Massey & Zack Mabry took first in the team roping for their 5.3 second run to bring home $1,213 each. Tyler Pruitt took first in the saddle bronc riding with his 76.5 points on Wilder Wednesday ( Big Water Pro Rodeo) for $940. Randall Carlisle took first in the tie-down roping for his 8.9 second run to pocket $1,029. Kalgary Johns took first in the barrel racing for her speedy 15.09 second run to net her $896. Sophia Corona took first in the breakaway roping for her quick 3.6 second run to earn $1,308. Ernie Courson Jr took first in the bull riding with a big 86 point ride on No. 54 (Big Water Pro Rodeo) for $1,060. Big Water Pro Rodeo provided the stock along with Jason Hanchey, Brady Barrentine, and Juan Alcazar Jr. Hunter Holley and Jake Anuez were the pickup men and Jake Geiger and Ben West kept the bull riders safe.
