The Hood County Stampede brought some of the top bareback riders to test their luck against some of the toughest broncs from Stockyards ProRodeo, McCoy Rodeo, Rocky Mountain Rodeo, Rafter H Rodeo Livestock, Rafter S Rodeo Company, Smith Pro Rodeos, Lancaster Pro Rodeo Company, and Mo Betta Rodeo at the Reunion Grounds in Granbury, Texas.
Cole Franks had the ride of the night and took first with an impressive 88 points on Sweet Caroline (Mo Betta Rodeo) to take home $6,599. Weston Timberman took a close second with his big 87 point ride on Wingman (Rocky Mountain Rodeo) to earn $5,059. Third place went to Kashton Ford for his 86.5 on Cowtown Misfit (Lancaster Pro Rodeo Company) for $3,739. Kade Sonnier took fourth with his 85.5 points on Medicine Show (Rafter H Rodeo Livestock) to pocket
$2,420. Fifth place wen to Cole Reiner who has an 85 point ride on Black Pearl (Lancaster Pro Rodeo Company) for $1,540. Carson Hildre took sixth with his 84.5 point ride on Cat Ballou (Rafter H Rodeo Livestock) to net him $1,100. Seventh place when to Blayn Hughston for his 83.5 points on Wild Child (Rocky Mountain Rodeo) to bring home a check for $880. Gauge McBride took eighth for his 83 points on Marge in Charge (Rafter H Rodeo Livestock) for $660.
The total payout this year was $21,996. Summer & Co Boyd kept the fans entertained between sections with their phenomenal trick riding along with rodeo clown Jason Farley.
