Bandera Pro Rodeo

The Bandera Pro Rodeo kicked off Memorial Weekend on Friday to clear blue skies and perfect rodeo weather that held through the perf; however, as fans were leaving thunder could be heard and lightning flashes could be seen in the distance as heavy rains rolled in late Friday night into Saturday morning. By Saturday night the storms had cleared and fans packed the stands.

Colton Greene was awarded all-around cowboy and a check for $968 for competing in the tie-down roping and steer wrestling. He also placed first in the tie-down roping with his 11.0 seconds run to net him an additional $968.

Brayze Schill took first in the bareback for his 76 point ride on Dirty Dozen (Rafter G Rodeo) for $1,015. Trace Harris took first in the steer wrestling with his quick 3.8 seconds run to earn $1,029. There was a tie for first in the team roping between Laramie Allen & Rich Skelton and Colton Williamson & Cliff Williamson, with both teams stopping the clock at 5.5 seconds to take home $1,295 each. This year's total payout was $36,039. Rafter G Rodeo once again provided the stock along with sub-contractors Jason Murray and Bobby Hill. The Texas Spirit Riders were the specialty act and not even a bit of mud on Saturday could slow down their incredible performance. Funny man Justin Rumford kept the crowds laughing between events with his spider man act that has gone viral on our social media platforms. Skeete Abbott and Cam Rogers were the pickup men and Austin Rudloff and Tanner Zarnetski provided the cowboy protection.
