Golden Spike Rodeo

The Golden Spike Rodeo was held August 20-23rd at the Box Elder County Fairgrounds in Tremonton, Utah. All-around cowboy and a check for $3,934 went to Marty Yates who competed in the tie-down roping and team roping. He also tied for third for his 7.9 run to earn an additional $3,934. Rocker Steiner took first in the bareback riding for his huge 88 point ride on War Widow (Legacy Pro Rodeo) for $6,980. Rowdy Parrott took first in the steer wrestling for his 3.2 second run to pocket $4,671. Coy Rahlmann & Cole Curry took first in the team roping for their 3.8 second run to take home $5,302 each. Stetson Dell Wright got it down the Wright way with an impressive 88 point ride on Vudu Doll (Legacy Pro Rodeo) for $6,994. Tyler Calhoun took first in the tie-down roping for his quick 7.5 second run to earn $5,711. Wenda Johnson took first in the barrel racing for her fast 16.94 second run to pocket $6,642. Erin Johnson took first in the breakaway roping for her 2.2 second run to take home $7,445. Tristan Mize took first in the bull riding for his big 87.5 point ride on Angels Landing (Legacy Pro Rodeo) for $7,621. Legacy Pro Rodeo provided the stock with sub-contractors Legend Rodeo Stock and Anthony Verdino. Ty Reeder, Tanner Haviland, and Jeremy Clark were the pickup men and Joe Butler and Austin Ashley provided the cowboy protection.
