Big Bend Round Up

The Big Bend Round Up was held August 23-24th at the Waterville Fairgrounds in Waterville, Washington. All-around cowboy went to Russell Cardoza, who earned a check for $2,317 by competing in the tie-down roping, steer wrestling, and team roping. He also took second in the steer wrestling for his 8.6 second run to earn another $818 and took first in the team roping paired with header Jake Raley for their 4.9 second run for an additional $1,499. Matt McLanahan took first in the bareback riding for his big 83 point ride on Dealer (Aces Wild Pro Rodeo) for $1,053. Braedyn White took first in the steer wrestling for his 6.0 second run to earn $988. There was a tie for first in the saddle bronc riding between Johnny Espeland on Painted Smile (Aces Wild Pro Rodeo) and Ryan Verling on Blue Chip (Aces Wild Pro Rodeo), with both cowboy scoring 85 point rides to take home $927 each. Michael Pederson took first inthe tie-down roping for his 8.5 second run to earn $1,295. Tayla Moeykens took first in the barrel racing for her fast 17.38 second run to net her a check for $943. Cameron Plaisted was the only rider to successfully cover his bull with his 75 point ride on Hot Head (Aces Wild Pro Rodeo) for $2,685. Aces Wild Pro Rodeo provided the stock. Mike Phillips and Caleb McMillan were the pickup men and Cheyne Anderson and Travis Traub provided the cowboy protection.
