Southern NM State Fair & Rodeo

The Southern NM State Fair & Rodeo was held September 26-27th at the Pete Dominici Arena in Las Cruces, New Mexico. All-around cowboy went to Edwin Nobriga, who earned himself a check for $2,130 by competing in the tie-down roping and team roping. Gauge McBride took first in the bareback riding for his 76 points on Soul Sister (Hi Lo ProRodeo) for $1,822. McLane Arballo took first in the steer wrestling for his 3.5 second run to earn $1,622. Kalai Nobriga & Myles John took first in the team roping with their quick 5.3 second run to take home $1,702 each. Waitley Sharon took first in the saddle bronc riding with his 82 point ride on Joker (Hi Lo ProRodeo) for $1,980. Brody Stallard took first in the tie-down roping for his 9.9 second run to earn $1,967. Jana Bean took first in the barrel racing with her 15.67 second run to net her $1,690. Taylor Girvin took first in the breakaway roping for her 1.9 second run to pocket $2,122. Patterson Starcher took first in the bull riding for his 83 points on Black Water Bayo (Hi Lo ProRodeo) for $2,783. Hi Lo ProRodeo provided the stock along with sub-contractors JJ Miller, Quade Hiatt, and Bode Baize. Tel Honeycutt and Justin Pender were the pickup men and Tanner Brantley and Joshua Hernandez were the bullfighters.
