San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo Bracket 5

It's down to the final bracket of the before the semi-finals and the wild card round of the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo. There was a tie for first in the first round of the bareback riding between Leighton Berry on High Rolling Sid (Cervi Championship Rodeo) and R.C. Landingham on Arbitrator Joe, with both riders scoring 85.5 point rides to take home $2,477 each. Jacob Lees took first in the second round with his 85.5 points on Enuff Cherry (Calgary Stampede) for $2,752. Jess Pope took first in Round Three with his 86.5 point ride on So Fancy (Pickett Pro Rodeo Co) to pocket $2,752. Advancing on are Jacob Lees, Leighton Berry, Jess Pope, and Dean Thompson.


J.D. Struxness took first in the first round of the steer wrestling with his quick 3.5 seconds run earn $2,752. Chance Howard took first in the second round with his 3.9 seconds to take home $2,752. Clay Tom Hurt beat our Struxness for first in the third round wit his 3.7 seconds run to net him $2,752. Clay Tom Hurt, Will Lummus, J.D. Struxness, and Colin Fox are all progressing on to the next rounds.


Rylee A George took first in the first round of the breakaway roping with a lighning fast 1.8 seconds run for $2,752. There was a tie for first in Round Two between Danielle Lowman and Beau Peterson, with both ladies stopping the clock at 2.0 seconds to take home $2,477 each. Taylor Munsell took first in the third round with her 2.0 seconds run to win $3,119. The cowgirls advancing on are Rylee A George, Kinlie Brennise, Beau Peterson, and Taylor Munsell.


In the first round of the team roping, Coleman Proctor & Travis Graves took first with their 4.2 seconds run to bring home $2,752 each. Lightning Aguilera & Wyatt Cox took first in Round Two with their quick 3.6 seconds run to pocket $2,752 each. Cody Snow & Hunter Koch took first in the third round for their 4.6 seconds for $2,752 each. The teams qualified to move on are Lightning Aguilera & Wyatt Cox, Cody Snow & Hunter Koch, Andrew Ward & Jake Long, and Coleman Proctor & Travis Graves.


Rusty Wright got it done the Wright way to take first in the first round of the saddle bronc riding with his big 87 point ride on Vintage Villain (Cervi Championship Rodeo) for $2,752. There was a tie for first in Round Two between Sage Newman on Zorta Proud (Calgary Stampede) and Kolby Wanchuk on Blue Chip (Calgary Stampede), with both cowboys scoring matching 84.5 point rides to pocket $2,477 each. There was another tie for first in the third round between Ryder Wright on Full Moon (Pete Carr Pro Rodeo) and Rusty Wright on Downtown (Pete Carr Pro Rodeo), with both riders having 86 points rides to take home $2,477 each. Rusty Wright, Ryder Wright, Sage Newman, and Kolby Wanchuk will be advancing.


In the tie-down roping, Ty Harris took first with his 7.8 seconds run to net him $2,752. He tied with Cory Solomon for first for their 9.6 seconds runs to take home $2,477 each. Harris continued his domination of Bracket 5 with another first in Round Three for his 7.9 seconds run to pocket $2,752. Ty Harris, Cory Solomon, Logan Bird, and Joel Harris all qualified to advance on.


Michelle Alley took first in the barrel racing with her 14.14 seconds run to earn $2,752. Wenda Johnson took first in Round Two with her 14.36 seconds run to net her $2,752. Michelle Alley took first again in the third round with her 14.11 seconds run for an additional $2,752. The cowgirls moving on are Michelle Alley, Wenda Johnson, Morgan Bagnell, and Kassie Mowry.


Riley Shippy took first in the first round of the bull riding with his 81 point ride on Predator (Pete Carr Pro Rodeo) for $3,119. Tristen Hutchings took first in Round Two for his 85 points on Buckle Up (Bailey Pro Rodeo) for $4,128 and again in Round Three with his big 89.5 points on Feeling Dangerous (Pickett Pro Rodeo Co) for an additional $3,119. Advancing on to the next rounds are Tristen Hutchings, Qynn Andersen, Colten Fritzlan, and Colton Byram.
