One of Washington's biggest rodeos, Puyallup Rodeo, kicked off September 4-7th at the Puyallup Main Grandstand. This one was another big one for the cowboys and cowgirls in the dash for the NFR cash, and with it being so close to the end of the season this one will be crucial for those on the bubble.
Playoff 1
Jacob Lees took first in the first round of the bareback riding with his big 85.5 point ride on Coconut Valley (Wayne Vold Rodeo) for $3,510. Jacek Frost took first in the second round with his 86.5 points on Queezy Roller (Corey & Lange Rodeo) to earn $3,510. Jacob Lees, Jacek Frost, Rocker Steiner, and Jayco Roper advanced.
In the first round of the steer wrestling, there was a tie for first between Will Lummus and Tyler Waguespack, with both bulldoggers stopping the clock at 3.8 second to pocket $3,071 each. Tyler Waguespack took first again in the second round with his 3.9 second to net him an additional $3,510. Tyler Waguespack,Will Lummus, Cody Devers, and Trisyn Kalawaia advanced.
Luke Brown & Trey Yates took first in the first round for their 4.5 second run to earn $3,510 each. Dustin Egusquiza & Will Woodfin took first in the second round for their 4.6 seconds to take home $3,510 each. Dustin Egusquiza & Will Woodfin, Clint Summers & Jade Corkill, Luke Brown & Trey Yates, and Brye Crites & Tyler Worley advanced.
Zeke Thurston took first in the first round of the saddle bronc riding with his big 87 points on Weekend Departur (Calgary Stampede) for $3,510. Logan Hay took first in the second round for his 87.5 point ride on Ragin' Lunatic (Brookman Rodeo) to earn $3,510. Logan Hay, Zeke Thurston, Dawson Hay, and Wyatt Casper advanced.
In the first round of the tie-down roping, there was a tie for first between Tom Crouse and Dylan Hancock, with both ropers stopping the clock at 8.1 seconds to net them $3,071 each. There was also a tie for first in the second round between Shad Mayfield and Cory Solomon, with both cowboy having matching 8.4 seconds runs to bring home $3,071 each. Tom Crouse, Zack Jongbloed, Dylan Hancock, and Cory Solomon advanced.
Katie Halbert took first in the first round of the barrel racing with her 13.54 seconds run to earn $3,510. Anita Ellis took first in the second round with her 13.52 second run to take home $3,510. Emily Beisel, Anita Ellis, Michelle Alley, and Tayla Moeykens advanced.
Aspen Miller took first in the first round of the breakaway roping with her 2.7 second run to earn $3,510. Martha Angelone took first in the second round for her 2.5 second run to pocket $3,510. Martha Angelone, Bradi Good, Aspen Miller, Braylee Shepherd advanced.
Ky Hamilton took first in the first round of the bull riding with his 78 point ride on Deep Creek (Wayne Vold Rodeo) for $8,775 and first in the second round for his 88 points on Speed Dial (Corey & Lange Rodeo) for an additional $3,510. Ky Hamilton, Qynn Andersen, Jesse Petri, and Bryce Jensen advanced.

There was a tie for first in the first round of the steer wrestling between Marc Joiner and Stetson Jorgensen, with both bulldoggers clocking 3.8 second run to take home $3,071 each. There was also a tie for first in the second round between Cash Robb and Justin Shaffer, with both athletes having matching 3.9 second runs to net them $3,071 each. Bridger Anderson, Justin Shaffer, Jesse Brown, and Chance Howard advanced.
Clay Smith & Nicky Northcott took first in the first round of the team roping for their 3.7 second run to earn $3,510 each. Cody Snow & Hunter Koch took first in the second round with their 3.8 second run to bring home $3,510 each. Rocker Steiner took first in the bareback riding with his phenomenal 88.5 points on Buster (Bridwell Pro Rodeo). Cody Devers took first in the steer wrestling for his quick 3.7 second run. There was a tie for first in the team roping between Clint Summers & Jade Corkill and Clay Smith & Nicky Northcott, with both teams stopping the clock at 6.4 second. Logan Hay took first in the saddle bronc riding with his huge 88 points on Dandy Delight (Calgary Stampede). Riley Mason Webb took first in the tie-down roping for his 8.7 second run. Emily Beisel took first in the barrel racing for her 13.87 second run. Hali Williams took first in the breakaway roping for her 2.3 second run. Hayden Welsh took first in the bull riding for his 86 points on Big Salty (Bridwell Pro Rodeo).
Finals

Riley Mason Webb took first in the tie-down roping for his 7.9 second run to pocket $13,400. Halyn Lide took first in the barrel racing for her fast 13.76 second run to net her $13,400. Rylee George took first in the breakaway roping for her 2.4 second run to earn $13,400. Matt Twitchell and Tyler Kraft were the pickup men and Josh Daries and Logan Blasdell provided the cowboy protection.
