Prairie Circuit Finals

The Prairie Circuit Finals were originally slated to take place during the EHV-1 quarantine, but thankfully the event was able to be reschedule instead of cancelled and held a few weeks later Jan 30-31st at the Osage County Fairgrounds in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. All-around cowboy and a check for $2,398 went to Coleman Proctor, who entered the team roping and steer roping. He also placed fourth in the second round with his 12.2 second run for another $436 and took second in the average for 37.5 seconds on three head for an additional $1,962.


There was a tie in the first round of the bareback riding between Colt Eck on Rachel (McCoy Rodeo) and Jayco Roper on Indigo (McCoy Rodeo) with both riders scoring 84 points to take home $2,910 each. Jayco Roper took first in the second round with his 87.5 points on Sundance Kid (Frontier Rodeo) to earn $3,326 and took first in the average for 171.5 points on two head to net him an additional $3,326 check.


There was also a tie for first in the first round of the steer wrestling between Chase Crane and Emmett Edler, with both bulldoggers stopping the clock at 4.1 seconds to pocket $2,509 each. Cody Devers took first in the second round with his 4.2 seconds run to earn $2,867. First in the average went to Mason Couch for 9.1 seconds on two head to bring home $4,301.


Jhett Trenary & L.J. Yeahquo took first in the first round of the team roping with their 4.5 seconds run to net them $2,867 each, first in the second round for their 4.9 seconds for another $2,867 each, and first in the average for 9.4 seconds on two head for an additional $4,301 each.


Waitley Sharon took first in the first round of the saddle bronc riding with his 88.5 points on Pony Soldier (Rafter H Rodeo Livestock) for $3,345, first in the second round for his 85 points on Big Sister (Frontier Rodeo) for $3,345, and first in the average for 173.5 points on two head to net him an additional $3,345.


In the first round of the tie-down roping, Chizm KuyKendall took first with his 8.6 seconds run to earn $2,867. Mason Stueve took first in the second round with his 8.7 seconds run to pocket $2,867. First in the average went to Chizm KuyKendall for 17.4 seconds on two head to bring home another $4,301.


Kara Kreder took first in the barrel racing with her 16.20 second run to net her $3,345. Emily Beisel took first in the barrel racing with her 16.00 seconds run to earn $3,345. Kara Kreder also took first in the average for 32.28 seconds on two head for $3,345.


Riley O'Rourke took first in the steer roping with his 10.2 seconds run to earn $1,744. In the second round, Billy Good took first with his 9.2 seconds run to win $1,744. Trenton Johnson took first in the third round for his 9.7 seconds run for $1,744. Chet Herren took first in the average for 35.8 seconds on three head. to net him $2,616.


Trevor Reiste took first in the first round of the bull riding with his 85 points on No. 129 (Rafter H Rodeo Livestock) for $4,573. Fulton Rutland took first in the second round for his 84 point ride on Red River (Frontier Rodeo) for $4,573. First in the average went to Harrison Kalinka for 160.5 points on two head to take home $3,603.


McCoy Rodeo, Hi Lo ProRodeo, Rafter H Rodeo Livestock, Honeycutt Rodeo, and Frontier Rodeo provided the stock. Dusty Moore and Andy Eck were the pickup men and Cole Stanley and Ryan Dahl provided the cowboy protection.
