Last year not too many rodeo fans knew who Tom Crouse was when he came to compete at the National Western Stock Show Rodeo last year but sometimes you just need to let your talent speak for itself. He took tied in the third in Round 1 with his 11.3 second run on his blue roan Doc, followed by a first in Round 2 with his 7.9 second run to advance to the semi-finals.

Also off his first year qualifying for The Wrangler NFR, Sam Petersen is also off to a strong start in Denver, taking first in the second round of Bracket 7 with his 82.5 point ride on High Rolling Sid (Cervi Championship Rodeo). He will also be advancing to the semi-finals with Crouse.

Eli Lord took first in the steer wrestling with his 4.0 second run. It was a bit of a tough go for the team ropers with only one team able to secure a qualified run. Kolton Schmidt & Chase Tryan got their names on the board with a 5.4 second run to advance. Tyrel Roberts took first in the saddle bronc riding with his 82.5 points on Wine & Dine (The Cervi Brothers).
