New Mexico State Fair & Rodeo

The New Mexico State Fair & Rodeo was held September 10-14th at the Tingley Coliseum in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Cole Franks took first in the bareback riding with his huge 88.5 point ride on Queen Scarlet (  Pickett Pro Rodeo Co) for $5,922. There was a tie for first in the steer wrestling between  Kyle Irwin and J.D. Struxness, with both bulldoggers clocking 3.5 seconds runs to bring home $3,271 each. Lightning Aguilera & Wyatt Cox took first in the team roping with their 3.5 second run to net them $4,635 each.  Lefty Holman took first in the saddle bronc riding with his impressive 88.5 points on Jazzbo Depew (Hi Lo ProRodeo) for $5,894. Tricia Aldridge took first in the barrel racing for her quick 15.07 second run to net her $5,820. Dustin Boquet took first in the bull riding with an impressive 90 point ride on Little Hat (Hi Lo ProRodeo) for $5,834.


Riley Mason Webb took first in the first round of the tie-down roping with his 7.5 second run to earn $1,717. Ty Harris took first in the second round for his 6.8 second run to pocket $1,717. First in the average went to John Douch for 16.0 seconds on two head to take home $2,576.


Hi Lo ProRodeo provided the stock along with sub-contractors Rafter H Rodeo Livestock, Pickett Pro Rodeo Co, J Bar J, JJ Miller, Quade Hiatt, and Bode Baize. Justin Pender and Tel Honeycutt were the pickup men and Cody Emerson and Jake Geiger provided the cowboy protection.
