Longview PRCA Rodeo

The 33rd Longview PRCA Rodeo was held in Longview, Texas April 11-12th. This rodeo has become a local rodeo fan favorite and is a huge fundraiser for Longview charities. Each year it has tremendous community support and turnout and this year was no exception.

Vitor Rigotti was awarded all-around cowboy to take home a $1,982 check for competing in the bareback riding and bull riding. Gauge McBride took first in the bareback riding with his 82 points on Sugar Smack (Andrews Rodeo) for $1,098. Cole Pugh took first in the steer wrestling with his 4.4 second run to earn $1,111. In the team roping, Lightning Aguilera & Wyatt Cox took first with their quick 4.5 second run to take home $1,418 each. Isaac Diaz took first in the saddle bronc riding with a big 85 point ride on Cracker Jack (Andrews Rodeo) for $1,470. Seth Emerson took first in the tie-down roping with a 9.9 second run for $1,418. In the barrel racing, Makenzie Mayes took first with her 17.17 second run to earn $1,225. There was only three qualified rides in the bull riding. Cody Teel took first with an 86 points on Deuces Wild (Andrews Rodeo) for a big $4,662 check. Andrews Rodeo, Diamond G Rodeo, JJ Miller and Bobby Joe Hill were the stock contractors. Brody Smith and Romeo Allen were the bull fighters and Dalton Barnes and Clint Hale were the pickup men.
