Kern County Fair & Rodeo

The Kern County Fair & Rodeo was held September 25-27th at the Kern County Fair in Bakersfield, California. All-around cowboy went to Dane Browning, who earned a check for $1,380 by competing in the tie-down roping, steer wrestling, and team roping. He also took first in the steer wrestling for his 5.2 second run for another $1,165 and sixth in the tie-down roping for his 12.8 second run to take home an additional $215.  R.C. Landingham took first in the bareback riding for his 83 point ride on Hold On 2 Me (Rosser Rodeo) for $1,918. Kolton Schmidt & Chase Tryan took first for their 4.4 second run to bring home $1,622 each. Q McWhorter took first in the saddle bronc riding for his strong 86.5 point ride on Ryder Friendly (Rosser Rodeo) for $2,098. Caden Farquer took first in the tie-down roping for his 10.8 second run to earn $1,247. Sharon Gow took first in the barrel racing for her 17.20 second run to net her a check for $1,030. Unfortunately there were no qualified rides in the bull riding. Rosser Rodeo and Flying U Rodeo provided the stock. Bronc Boehnlein and Joshua Reed were the pickup men and  Warren Enz and Abraham Ansolabehere kept the bull riders safe.
