Houston Rodeo Super Series 1-3

The cowboys and cowboys headed to Houston to compete in another one of the big Texas Swing Rodeos March 2-21st with hopes of taking home a hefty payout and getting their 2026 season off to a strong start in the dash for the WNFR cash and one of the coveted guitars. This rodeo is similar to the other Texas Swing rodeos consisting of five brackets referred to a Super Series, a wild card round, semi-finals, and final round.
Super Series 1
Jason Wilson beat out Richmond Champion by half a point to take first in the first round of the bareback riding with his 83 point ride on Red Sunset (Bailey Pro Rodeo) for $3,000. Wacey Schalla took first in the second round with his big 85.5 points on Squirmy Wormy (Cervi Championship Rodeo) for $3,000. Cole Reiner took first in the third round with his strong 86 point ride on Ruby's Girl (Cervi Championship Rodeo) for $3,000. Cole Reiner, Wacey Schalla, Jess Pope, and Jason Wilson qualified to advance on.
Trisyn Kalawaia had the fastest run in the bulldogging in Round One to take first with his 5.2 seconds run to earn $3,000. Marc Joiner took first in the second round with his quick 3.6 seconds run to pocket $3,000. Tyler Waguespack took first in the third round with his 4.8 seconds run for $3,000. Marc Joiner, Tyler Waguespack, Trisyn Kalawaia, and Tristan Martin are progressing onto the next round.
In the first round of the team roping, Kavis Drake & Denim Ross took first with their 6.5 seconds run to net them $3,000 each. Jake Smith & Douglas Rich took first in Round Two with their 5.2 seconds run to bring home $3,000 each. Dustin Egusquiza & JC Flake took first in the third round with their 4.5 seconds run for $3,000 each. The teams advancing on are Clint Summers & Jade Corkill, Kavis Drake & Denim Ross, Jake Smith & Douglas Rich, and Dustin Egusquiza & JC Flake.
Allen Boore took first in the first round of the saddle bronc riding with his 85 point ride on Box Cutter (The Cervi Brothers) for $3,000. He took first again in the second round on Hard Drive (Bailey Pro Rodeo), tying with Gus Gaillard on She's With Randy (The Cervi Brothers), with both riders scoring 84.5 points to take home $2,500 each. Parker Fleet took first in the third round with his 84 point ride on Pressure Cooker (The Cervi Brothers) for $3,000. Allen Boore, Lefty Holman, Gus Gaillard, and Parker Fleet are moving on.
Ty Harris took first in the first round of the tie-down roping with his 9.0 seconds run to pocket $3,000. Tyson Durfey took first in the second round with his 9.4 seconds run to earn $3,000. Trevor Hale took first in the third round with his 8.2 seconds run to net him $3,000. Tyson Durfey, Ty Harris, Trevor Hale, and Michael Otero are moving onto the next round.
Erin Johnson took first in the first round of the breakaway roping with her 3.4 seconds run to pocket $3,000. Jackie Crawford took first in Round Two with her 3.4 seconds run to earn $3,000. Jill Tanner took first in the third round with her 3.0 seconds run to win $3,000. The cowgirls advancing on are Jackie Crawford, Kirby Rawlinson, Jill Tanner, and Erin Johnson.
Michelle Alley was white hot all three round of the barrel racing in Super Series 1 starting off with first in the first round with her 14.56 seconds run to take home $3,000, first in the second round with her 14.40 seconds run for another $3,000, and first in the third round with her 14.35 seconds run for and additional $3,000. Progressing to the next round are Cole Reiner, Wacey Schalla, Jess Pope, and Jason Wilson.
Stetson Dell Wright got it done the Wright way with a huge 87.5 point ride on Black Beard's Revenge (The Cervi Brothers) for first in the bull riding and a check for $3,000. Roscoe Jarboe took first in Round Two with his electric 86.5 point ride on Rise Up (Generations Pro Rodeo) for $3,500. Colorado Kid Mackey took first in the third round with his big 87.5 points on Honey Badger (The Cervi Brothers) for $4,250. The riders moving onto the next round are Jake Gardner, Roscoe Jarboe, Wacey Schalla, and Stetson Dell Wright.
Super Series 2
There was a three-way tie for first in the first round of the bareback between Waylon Bourgeois on Small Town Scandal (Cervi Championship Rodeo), Taylor Broussard on Big Ben (The Cervi Brothers), and Carson Hildre on Dream Machine (Cervi Championship Rodeo), with all three rides scoring 82 point rides to take home $2,000 each. Ben Kramer took first in Round Two with his 84.5 points on On Second Thought (The Cervi Brothers) for $3,000. Waylon Bourgeois took first again in the third round with his solid 86.5 point ride on Pancake King (Cervi Championship Rodeo) for $3,000. Waylon Bourgeois, Rocker Steiner, Taylor Broussard, and Ben Kramer are all moving onto the next round.
Cash Robb took first in the first round of the steer wrestling with his 4.4 seconds run to net him $3,000. Grant Peterson took first in the second round with his 4.5 seconds run to earn $3,000. Chase Crane took first in Round Three with his 4.1 seconds run for $3,000. Grant Peterson, Cash Robb, Chase Crane, and Seth Peterson are advancing.
Kaleb Driggers & Junior Nogueira absolutely dominated in the team roping in all three round of Super Series 1 starting with first in the first round with their 5.0 seconds run for $3,000 each, first in the second round for their 4.9 seconds run for another $3,000 each, and first in the third round for their 4.8 seconds run for an additional $3,000 each. Kaleb Driggers & Junior Nogueira, Luke Brown & Buddy Hawkins II, Kolton Schmidt & Chase Tryan, and Chad Masters & Jace Helton all qualified to advance.
Riggin Chaz Smith took first in Round One of the saddle bronc riding with his 84 points on Mortician (The Cervi Brothers) for $3,000 and first in the second round with his 85 point ride on Hot Mama (The Cervi Brothers) for $3,000. Easton West took first in the third round with his huge 87 point ride on Mugshot (The Cervi Brothers) for $3,000. Progressing onto the next round are Easton West, Riggin Chaz Smith, Stetson Dell Wright, and Shorty Garrett.
Ace Reese took first in the second round of the tie-down roping with his 10.4 seconds run for $3,000. There was a tie for first in the second round between Macon Murphy and Bo Pickett, with both ropers stopping the clock at 8.9 seconds to bring home $2,500 each. Joel Harris took first in the third round with an 8.8 seconds run to pocket $3,000. Bo Pickett, Macon Murphy, Ace Reese, and Riley Mason Webb are moving on.
Summer Williams took first in the first round of the breakaway roping with her 2.5 seconds run to earn $3,000. Josie Goodrich took first in the second round with her 2.8 seconds run to pocket $3,000. Maddy Jacobs took first in the third round with her 2.5 seconds run to net her $3,000. The cowgirls advancing on are Summer Williams, Josie Goodrich, Maddy Jacobs, and Josie Conner.
Jordan Driver took first in the first round of the barrel racing with her 14.18 seconds run to win $3,000. Sydney Graham took first in the second round with her 14.34 seconds run to earn $3,000. Loralee Ward took first in the third round with her 14.66 seconds run for $3,000. The cowgirls moving on are Sydney Graham, Jordan Driver, Paige Jones, and Loralee Ward.
Trevor Reiste took first in the second round of the bull riding with his 83 points on Anthrax (Cervi Championship Rodeo) for $3,500 and first in the second round with his 86 points on Smokin Hot (Cervi Championship Rodeo) for another $4,250. T Parker took first in Round Three with his 85 point ride on Gladiator (Cervi Championship Rodeo) for $3,050. The bull riders advancing on are Trevor Reiste, T Parker, Hayden Welsh, and Dylan Rice.
Super Series 3
Bradlee Miller took first in the bareback in Round One with his big 85.5 points on Freshman 15 (Cervi Championship Rodeo) for $3,000 and first in the second round with his 88 points on Welcome Delivery (Calgary Stampede) for $3,000. Keenan Hayes took first in the third round with his huge 88.5 points on Jolly Rapper (Calgary Stampede) for $3,000. Bradlee Miller, Keenan Hayes, Jayco Roper, and Jacob Lees are progressing onto the next round.
Ty Erickson took first in the first round of the steer wrestling with his 4.1 seconds run to earn $3,000. Holden Myers took first in Round Two with his 4.0 seconds run for $3,000. Dakota Eldridge took first in the third round for his 4.1 seconds run to bring home $3,000. The cowboys moving onto the next round are Ty Erickson, Bridger Anderson, Holden Myers, and Dakota Eldridge.
Coy Rahlmann & Logan Medlin took first in the first round of the team roping with their 4.8 seconds run to bring home $3,000 each. Bubba Buckaloo & Cole Curry took first in Round Two with their 4.8 seconds run to earn $3,000 each. There was a tie for first in the third round between Tee McLeod & Trey Yates and Marcus Theriot & Chase Graves, with both teams stopping the clock at 5.1 seconds to net them $2,500 each. The teams advancing on are Marcus Theriot & Chase Graves, Bubba Buckaloo & Cole Curry, Coy Rahlmann & Logan Medlin, and Tee McLeod & Trey Yates.
Ben Andersen took first in the third round of the saddle bronc riding with his strong 85 point ride on Lost Hope (The Cervi Brothers) for $3,000. There was a tie for first in Round Two between Jake Finlay on Frontier Acres (Calgary Stampede) and Rusty Wright on Annual News (Calgary Stampede), with both riders scoring 86 points to pocket $2,500 each. Advancing to the next round are Ben Andersen, Jake Finlay, Weston Patterson, and Rusty Wright.
Kincade Henry took first in the third round with his 8.6 seconds run to win $3,000. Cory Solomon took first in the second round with an 8.0 seconds run to earn $3,000. Kincade Henry took first again in the third round with his 7.6 seconds run to pocket $3,000. Moving on are Kincade Henry, Tyler Calhoun, Pecos Tatum, and Shane Hanchey.
Haiden Thompson took first in the first round of the breakaway roping with her 2.9 seconds run to net her $3,000. Aspen Miller took first in the Round Two with her 2.9 seconds run to win $3,000. Martha Angelone took first in the third round with her 2.9 seconds run for $3,000. Haiden Thompson, Martha Angelone, Cadee Williams, and Aspen Miller are progressing on to the next round.
Emily Beisel was strong all three rounds of the barrel racing, taking first in the first round with her 14.55 seconds run for $3,000, first in the second round with her 14.81 seconds run for another $3,000, and first in the third round with her 14.69 seconds for and additional $3,000. Emily Beisel, McKenna Coronado, Katie Jo Halbert, and Tricia Aldridge are advancing onto the next round.
Cooper James took first in the third round of the bull riding with his 85 point ride on Cowboy Dreams (Bailey Pro Rodeo) for $3,188. There were no qualified rides in the second ride and only one qualified ride in Round Three by Bryce Jensen with his 85 point ride on Warpath (Generations Pro Rodeo) for $7,500. The riders qualified to progressing to the next round are Bryce Jensen, Cooper James, Clayton Sellars, and Dustin Boquet.
