The Okeechobee Cowtown Rodeo was held March 14-15 at the Okeechobee Cattlemans Arena in Okeechobee, Florida. All-around cowboy went to Marcus Theriot, who earned himself a check for $1,348 by compeing in the tie-down roping and team roping. He also placed second in the tie-down roping for his 8.6 seconds run for another $1,348. Hayden James took first in the bareback riding with his 80 points on No. 012 (Big Water Pro Rodeo) for $1,070. Marc Joiner took first in the steer wrestling with his fast 3.2 seconds run to earn $1,629. Keven Daniel & Parker Carbajal took first in the team roping with their 5.8 seconds run to bring home $2,086 each. Spencer Wright took first in the saddle bronc riding with his 83 point ride on Natalie (Silver Spurs Club) for $1,241. In the tie-down roping, Macon Murphy took first with his fast 8.2 seconds run to net him $1,629. Patti Higdon took first in the barrel racing with her quick 16.14 seconds run around the barrels to take home $1,531. Jestin Jacklin was one of only three riders able to successfully cover his bull with his 80 point ride on No. 9 (Big Water Pro Rodeo) for $1,503.
The total payout this year was $49,834. Silver Spurs Club provided the stock along with sub-contractors Big Water Pro Rodeo, Dudley Kirton, and Marty Johns. Spook Whidden, Hunter Holley, and Reed Durrance were the pickup men and Jake Geiger and Mike Driver kept the bullfighters safe.
