CINCH World's Toughest Rodeo kicked off in Louisville, Kentucky March 13-14th at the KFC Yumi Center with a rank pen of bronc and bulls from Harper & Morgan Rodeo Co, Championship Pro Rodeo, and Penthouse Pro Rodeo. Wacey Schalla took all-around cowboy to earn himself $6,317 by competing in both the bareback riding and bull riding. Although he did not have a qualified ride in the bull riding, he placed first in the bareback riding with his 87 point ride on Monkey Wrench (Penthouse Pro Rodeo) to take home an additional $6,317. Kolby Wanchuk has started his season of strong and continued his hot streak taking first in the saddle bronc riding with a big 88 points on Rebel Yell ( Championship Pro Rodeo) for 6,317. Cody McElroy took first in the bull riding with his 86 point ride on Bye Bye Joe (Harper & Morgan Rodeo Co) to net him a check for $6,562.
The total payout this year for this event was $63,168. Denton Good and Tommy Pettit were the pickup men and Nick Kaup and Austin Rudloff.
