Gem State Classic Pro Rodeo

The Gem State Classic Pro Rodeo was held September 1-3rd at the E. Idaho State Fair in Blackfoot, Idaho. All-around cowboy went to Wacey Schalla, who earned a check for $4,506 by competing in the bareback riding and bull riding. He also took sixth in the bareback riding for his 76 point ride for another $231 and first in the bull riding for his huge 90 point ride on Kevin (Powder River Rodeo) for an additional $4,953. Casey Thomson took first in the bareback riding with his big 87 points on Two Buck Chuck (Powder River Rodeo) for $1,523. Ty Allred took first in the steer wrestling with his 4.1 second run to earn $1,816. Quinton Parchman & Sid Sporer took first in the team roping with their 4.5 second run to take home $2,162 each. Rusty Wright got it done the Wright way with an 87.5 point ride on Two For Time (Powder River Rodeo) for $1,892. Spencer King took first in the tie-down roping for his 9.4 second run to pocket $1,967. Caitlyn White took first in the barrel racing with her 15.34 second run to earn $1,944. McKenna Hickson took first in the breakaway roping with her fast 1.9 second run to take home $2,203. Powder River Rodeo provided the stock along with sub-contractor Jason Clemens. Jay Shaw and Clint Humble were the pickup men and J.D. Harrell and Garrett Wilkinson kept the bull riders safe.
