Gaines County Riding Club Pro Rodeo

The Gaines County Riding Club Pro Rodeo took place September 26-27th at the Seminole Arena in Seminole, Texas. Rhett Hadley Kelley had the only qualified ride in the bareback riding with his 71 points on Revolver (Rafter S Rodeo Company) for $891. Unfortunately there were no qualified runs in the steer wrestling. There was a tie for first in the team roping between Pedro Egurrola & J.W. Borrego and Lyvan Gonzalez & John Hisel, with both teams stopping the clock at 7.1 second to take home $200 each. Blake Steuck took first in the saddle bronc riding with his big 86 point ride on Turbulence (Rafter S Rodeo Company) for $714. Brodey Clemons took first in the tie-down roping for his 9.0 second run to pocket $489. Tara Seaton took first in the barrel racing with her 17.72 second run to net her $542. Dawson Gleaves took first in the bull riding for his strong 85 point ride on Powerslave (Rafter S Rodeo Company) for $1,908.

In the first round of the steer roping, Trenton Johnson took first with his 9.2 second run to earn $861. Riley O'Rourke took first in the second round with his 9.6 second run to pocket $861. There was a tie for first in the third round between Clay Long and Jess Tierney, with both ropers stopping the clock at 9.7 second to bring home $753 each. First in the average went to Jess Tierney for 36.1 seconds on three head to earn $1,291.

Rafter S Rodeo Company and New West Rodeo Productions provided the stock. Guy Wade Tyra and Preston Johnson were the pickup men and Reese Mitchell and Logan Adamson were the bullfighters.
