FWSSR Semi-finals B Results

Last night was the last round of semi-finals and the cowboys and cowgirls brought their A game in hopes of punching their tickets to the finals and leaving Fort Worth with a champion title and a strong start in the WNFR dash for the cash. Local Weatherford cowboy and 4x WNFR qualifier Leighton Berry is hoping to once again make the coveted top 15 headed to Sin City this season. He made his presence known in semi-finals B with a big 89 points for first in the bareback on Dark Side (Jar Bar J Pro Rodeo) for $4,000 and a shot to advance to the final round. He will be joined by Jess Pope, Cole Reiner, Richmond Champion, Orin Larsen, and Rocker Steiner. Landris White took first in the steer wrestling with his 3.8 seconds run to earn $4,000 and his shot at the finals. Bridger Anderson, Tanner Brunner, and Cash Robb will join him. Jill Tanner took first in the breakaway roping with her 2.3 seconds run to pocket $4,000 and move on, along with Josie Conner, Braylee Shepherd, and Cadee Williams. There was a tie for first in the saddle bronc riding between Rusty Wright on Weekend Departure (Calgary Stampede) and Ryder Sanford on Fringe Jacket ( J Bar J), with both riders earning $3,500 each and progressing onto the finals. Douch took first in the tie-down roping with his 8.4 run for $4,000 to seal his spot in the next round with Kincade Henry, Tom Crouse, and Marty Yates. There was a tie for first in the team roping between Jake Clay & Will Woodfin and James Arviso & Rance Doyal, with both teams stopping the clocks at 4.4 seconds to take home $3,500 each and move on. Kavis Drake & Denim Ross and Mason Appleton & Cole Curry will be joining them. Hailey Kinsel took first in the barrel racing with her 16.26 second run to earn $4,000 and advance on to finals with Makenzie Mayes, Katelyn Scott, and Summer Kosel. The Colorado Kid Luke Mackey rode his way into the final round with 90.5 points on Nemesis (Rafter G Rodeo) and earned a check for $4,333. Tristen Hutchings, Lane Vaughan, Stran Smith, Braxton Whitesell, Trey Kimzey, and Creek Young will join him.
