It's winding down to the final few brackets of the FWSSR before the semifinals begin. Sam Peterson took first in Bracket 5 Round 1 in the bareback riding with his strong 87.5 point ride on Uncapped (Pickett Pro Rodeo) to net him $2,500. Boyd Sawyer took first in the steer wrestling with his fast 3.9 seconds run to earn $2,542. Jordi Edens-Mitchell took first in the breakaway roping with her 2.1 seconds run to pocket $2,542. California cowboy Lefty Holman took first in the saddle bronc riding with a big 89 points on Poseidon (Stace Smith Pro Rodeo) for $2,518. Trenton Smith took first it the tie-down roping with his 8.5 seconds run to earn $2,500. Brady Tryan & Paden Bray took first in the team roping with their 4.5 seconds run to take home $2,575 each. Hailey Kinsel took first in the barrel racing with her 16.56 seconds run to win $2,500. Hayden Welsh did not look like a rookie and took first in the bull riding with his impressive 89.5 point ride on Riser (Rafter G Rodeo) for $3,000.

Tilden Hooper took first in the bareback riding with his 85.5 point ride on Trouble at the Top (Pickett Pro Rodeo) for $2,500. He is moving onto the semi-finals with Sam Peterson, and Ben Kramer secured a spot in the Wild Card round. Landris White took first in the steer wrestling with his 3.4 seconds run to earn $2,518 and a spot in the semi-finals with Garrett Oates. Boyd Sawyer will go to the Wild Card round. Cali Griffin took first in the breakaway roping with her 2.2 seconds run to net her $2,518 and a spot in the Wild Card round. Jordi Edens-Mitchell and Braylee Shepherd will advance to the semi-finals. There was a three-way tie for first in the saddle bronc riding between Rusty Wright on Glory Days (Calgary Stampede), Brody Cress on Buck Owens (Stace Smith Pro Rodeo), and Kade Bruno on Gooses Alibi (Calgary Stampede) with all three riders scoring 86 points to take home $1,985 each. Bruno and Wright will progress onto the semi-finals, and Lefty Holman earned a slot in the Wild Card round. Trenton Smith took first in the tie-down roping with his 8.9 second run to pocket $3,000. He will move onto the semi-finals with Britt Bedke. The Wild Card spot went to Luke Potter. Kavis Drake & Denim Ross took first in the team roping with their 4.1 second run to net them $2,075 each and a spot in semi-finals with Brady Tryan & Paden Bray. Kolton Schmidt & Chase Tryan are going to the Wild Card round. Hailey Kinsel went 2 for 2 with round wins on Sister with her 16.49 seconds run to earn another $2,500. And the rookie Hayden Welsh did it again with an exciting 90 point ride for first on Boot Barn’s Southern Cowboy (Pickett Pro Rodeo) for $3,000 and will advance to the semi-finals with Gavin Haouk. Colton Coffman will move onto the Wild Card round.



Bracket 6 Round 1

Kashton Ford kicked off Bracket 6 Round 1 with a huge 89 point ride on Bill Flick New Scarlet (Pickett Pro Rodeo) for $2,500. Cash Robb took first in the steer wrestling with his 3.5 seconds run to pocket $2,518. Aspen Miller took first in the breakaway roping with her 2.4 seconds run to earn $2,542. Stetson Wright got it done the Wright way with his 88 points for first in the saddle bronc riding on Bugatti (Penthouse Pro Rodeo) for $2,518. Tanner Green took first in the tie-down roping with his 7.6 seconds run to net him $2,518. Tanner Tomlinson & Coleby Payne took first in the team roping with their 4.4 second run to bring home $3,000 each. Michelle Alley took first in the barrel racing with her 16.51 second run to net her $2,500. Tristen Hutchings took first in the bull riding with his big 88.5 point ride on Moostache (Rafter G Rodeo) for $4,000.

Fan favorite Rocker Steiner got Round 2 off to an electric start with his 89 point ride on Redzilla (Pete Carr Pro Rodeo) for $2,542. He and Cole Reiner will advance to the semi-finals, and Kashton Ford got the Wild Card Spot. Trisyn Kalawaia took first in the steer wrestling with his 3.9 seconds run to earn $2,542 and will move onto the semi-finals with Cash Robb. Stetson Jorgensen earned the Wild Card spot. Aspen Miller took first in the breakaway roping with her quick 1.9 seconds run to pocket $2,575. She and Jenna Dallyn will advance onto the semi-finals and Jill Tanner will move onto the Wild Card spot. Stetson Wright got it done the Wright way going 2 for 2 taking first again with a spectacular 90 point ride in the saddle bronc riding on Toma Jo (Pete Carr Pro Rodeo) for $2,542. Wright and Ryder Sanford are headed to the semi-finals and Reed Neely to the Wild Card round. Joel Harris took first in the tie-down roping with his 8.1 second run to net him $2,542 to punch his ticket to the semi-finals with Tanner Green. Blane Cox will head to the Wild Card round. Riley

Minor & Brady Minor took first in the team roping with their 4.2 second to take home $4,000 each and earn a spot in the semi-finals with Corben Culley & Trent Vaught. The Wild Card spot went to Tanner Tomlinson & Coleby Payne. Paige Jones took first in the barrel racing with her 16.27 second run to net her $2,500 and a spot in semi-finals with Julie Plourde. Michelle Alley got the Wild Card spot. Tristen Hutchings took first in the bull riding with an 88.5 point ride on Pretty Boy (Championship Pro Rodeo) to net him $4,000. He will advance to the semi-finals with Qynn Anderson, and Jesse Petri will move onto the Wild Card round.
