Round One


It was another day of Fort Worth looking like a Winter Wonderland but inside the Dickies arena the heat was on. Cooper Cook took first in the bareback riding with an 81.5 point ride on Secret Agent Man (Rafter G Rodeo) for $2,500. Tanner Brunner had the fastest run in the bulldogging with his 3.7 seconds to earn $2,500. There was a tie for first in the breakaway roping between Brooke Bruner and Taylor Munsell, with both ladies clocking 2.0 seconds runs to take home $2,275 each. Lucas Macza beat out fellow Canadia Q Taylor by one point to take first in the saddle bronc riding with his 85 point ride on Friendly Repo (Korkow Rodeos) for $2,542. Kincade Henry took first in the tie-down roping with his 11.0 seconds run to net him $2,575. Tyler Tryan & Levi Lord took first in the team roping with their 4.3 seconds run to pocket $2,518 each. Hayle Gibson-Stilwell took first in the barrel racing with her 16.43 seconds run to earn $2,500. Trey Kimzey, who filled in for Jeff Bertus' spot last minute after winter storms prevented Bertus from being able to make it to Fort Worth, was the only rider to make it to the 8 second mark in the bull riding with his 80 point ride on BabaBooey (Rafter G Rodeo), netting him a check for $7,400. Although Kimzey had qualified for the rodeo, he was not scheduled to compete due to missing the entry date.
Round Two

What better way to celebrate Tarleton State University Night than with an alumni round win by Kody Lamb, who took first in the bareback with his 85.5 point ride on Smoke Show (Dakota Rodeo) to net him a $2,542 check and a Wild Card qualification. Gavin French, who took second in the round with his 83.5 point ride, will be advancing to the semi-finals with Cooper Cooke. There was a tie for first in the steer wrestling between Ty Erickson and Rowdy Parrott, with both bulldoggers stopping the clock at 4.0 seconds to bring home $2,275 each. Gavin Soileau and Tanner Brunner will advance onto the semi-finals, and Rowdy Parrott earned the Wild Card spot. Martha Angelone took first in the breakaway roping with her lightning fast 1.9 second run to earn $2,575. She will move onto the

semi-finals with Taylor Munsell, and Brooke Bruner qualified for the Wild Card round. Q Taylor had a phenomenal 88 point ride on Chaynee’s Fancy Freckles (Diamond G Rodeo) for $2,518 and a spot in the semi-finals. He will be joined by Lucas Macza. Logan Hay got the Wild Card qualification. Zach Jongbloed took first in the tie-down roping to punch his ticket to the semi-finals round with his 8.5 seconds run and earned $2,542. Kincade Henry who took second in the round with his 9.0 seconds will join him, and Cash Fuesz will advance to the semi-finals. Jake Clay & Will Woodfin took first in the team roping with their 4.9 second run to pocket $2,575 each. They will advance to semi-finals with Tyler Tryan & Levi Lord. Clay Tryan & Whip Peterson advanced to the Wild Card round. Hayle Gibson-Stilwell went 2 for 2 winning Round Two with her 16.11 second run to earn $2,500 and advance onto the semi-final round with Tricia Aldridge. Andrea Busby will move onto the Wild Card round. There were no qualified rides in the bull riding but Trey Kimzey will continue on in the semi-finals due to his win in Round One.
