Bruno Carvalho Crowned Chute-Out Winner at NWSS in Denver, Co

The bulls were not making it an easy go for any of the 90 riders at the NWSS Chute-out in Denver, Colorado. Only one rider was able to successfully cover all three of his bull for the required 8 seconds and that was Bruno Carvalho from Alvares Florence, Sao Paulo. Carvalho was 1 of 8 bull riders that had qualified rides on the first night of competition Monday, Jan. The second round narrowed it down to 30 riders of which Carvalho had an 86.3 point ride putting him in the top 15 riders progressing on to the championship finals. In the championship finals, Carvalho took second place with his 88.7 points on Smokin Hot (Double S Bull Company/Cervi) which gave him combined point score across all three bulls of 260.8 points to win the championship and $22,632.

Taking second place was Cassio Dias, the 2024 PBR World Champion, who had a total of 179.3 points on two bulls thanks to his 90.4 point winning ride in the final round on Ghost Face (Bierema Rodeo Inc./Cooper/Scruggs Bucking Bulls). With his success there he earned a total of $21,873.
