Two WNFR veterans hoping to leave Fort Worth with the FWSSR champion title this year include Riley Webb and Kassie Mowry. Both were off to a strong start in Round 1 with Riley taking first in the tie-down roping with his 7.6 seconds run to earn $2,500, and Kassie Mowry taking first in the barrel racing with her quick 16.16 seconds run to also pocket $2,500. In the bareback riding, Kooper Heimburg took first with his impressive 87 points on Doughboy (Generations Pro Rodeo) for $2,500. Ty Bauerle took first in the steer wrestling with his 3.9 seconds run to net him $2,575. There was a three-way tie for first in

the breakaway roping between Suzanne Williams, Joey Williams, and Josie Conner, with all three ladies stopping the clock at 2.3 seconds to bring home $2,042 each. Damian Brennan took first in the saddle bronc riding with a big 88 point ride on Midnight Train (Pete Carr Pro Rodeo) for $2,500. Mason Appleton & Sid Sporer took first in the team roping with their 4.6 second run to net them $2,542 each. Creek Young was one of only two riders able to successfully cover his bull and took first with his 87 point ride on Peaky Blinders (Rafter G Rodeo) for $4,000.

Clayton Biglow took first in the bareback riding with a beauty of an 89 point ride on Clyde Wears A Resistol (Rafter G Rodeo) for $2,542 to advance to the semi-finals with Kooper Heimburg. Gauge McBride will move onto the wild card round. Levi Rudd took first in the steer wrestling with his 3.6 seconds run to earn $2,542 and punch his ticket to the semi-finals with Ty Bauerle. The Wild Card spot went to Logan Kenline. There was another tie this round in the breakaway roping between Amanda Terrell & Jaci Hammons, with both ladies clocking 2.5 seconds run to bring home $2,242 each. Terrell earned the Wild Card spot, and the semi-finals spots went to Suzanne Williams and Josie Conner. Ira Dickinson took first in the saddle bronc riding with a huge 90 point ride on Dapper Dan (Rafter G Rodeo) for $2,542 to go to the semi-finals with Damian Brennan. Weston Patterson will move onto the Wild Card round. Jake Pratt took first in the tie-down roping with his quick 7.7 second run to pocket $2,500. He and Riley Webb will progress onto the semi-finals, and Marty Yates will go to the Wild Card round. Cory Smothers & Trey Johnson, Weatherford, Texas took first in the team

roping with their 6.1 seconds to bring home $2,542 each. Coleman Proctor & Travis Graves and Mason Appleton, & Sid Sporer will advance onto the semi-finals, and Derrick Begay & Colter Todd will move onto the Wild Card round. Kassie Mowry went 2 for 2 round wins taking first again in Round 2 with her 16.19 seconds run to pocket $2,500. She and Makenzie Mayes are headed to the semi-finals, and Ashley Day earned the Wild Card spot. Creek Young also went 2 for 2 taking another round win with his 89 point ride Landman (Rafter G Rodeo) 89 points for $3,000 and a spot in the semi-finals with Mason Moody. Jax Mills will move onto the Wild Card round.
