The Black Gold Stampede was held October 10-11th at the Rusk County Youth Expo Center in Henderson, Texas. Jayco Roper took first in the bareback riding with his 80.5 point ride on Texas Tan Line (Pete Carr Pro Rodeo) for $865. Shane Frey took first in the steer wrestling with his 4.5 second run to earn $893. Kipp Harrell & Kinney Harrell took first in the team roping with their 4.0 second run to pocket $1,295 each. Dylan Young took first in the saddle bronc riding with his 77.5 point ride on Smoke On The Wat (Pete Carr Pro Rodeo) for $1,184. Macon Murphy took first in the tie-down roping with his 8.9 second run to net him $1,118. Kaycee Killingsworth took first in the baarrel racing with her 15.49 second run to earn $1,562. The bulls did not play nice and there were no qualified rides in the bull riding. Pete Carr Pro Rodeo provided the stock. Jeff Dees and Jake Dees were the pickup men and Clay Heger and Cameron Lerma were the bullfighters.
