The Badlands Circuit Finals kicked off October 10-12th at the All Seasons Arena in Minot, North Dakota. All-around cowboy went to Thayne Elshere who took home $11,841 for competing in the saddle bronc riding and bull riding. He also took second in the first round of the saddle bronc riding for his 79 point ride for another $1,298, tied for first in the third round for his 85 point ride on La Colors (Korkow Rodeos) for $2,271, and tied for second in the average for 242.5 points on three head for an additional $2,433. He also tied for third in the second ride with his 82 point ride for $973, second in the third round for his 85 point ride for $1,946, and second in the average for 167 points on two head to take home an additional $2,920.
Shane O'Connell took first in the first round of the bareback riding with his 84.5 point ride on Collect Call (Muddy Creek Pro Rodeo) for $2,576. Tyler Graf took first in the second round for his 85 points on Rubber Match (Korkow Rodeos) for $2,576. There was a tie for first in the third round between Clay Jorgenson on Chucking Rubbies (Sutton Rodeos) and Ben Kramer on Hanna Bear (Bailey Pro Rodeo) with both cowboy scoring 84.5 point rides to take home $2,254 each. Shane O'Connell took first in the average for 250 points on three head to net him a $3,865 check.
In the first round of the steer wrestling, Trey Bohmbach took first with his quick 4.2 second run to pocket $2,595. Chance Grill took first in the second found with his 4.8 second run to net him $2,595. Scott Kleeman took first in the third round with his 4.0 second run to earn $2,595. First in the average went to Rope Smith for 15.6 seconds on three head to bring home $3,893.
Logan Olson & Jade Nelson took first in the first round of the team roping for their 4.8 seconds tun to net them $2,595 each. There was a tie for first in the second round between Logan Olson & Jade Nelson and Payton Pirrung & Matt Zancanella, with both teams clocking 5.1 second runs to bring home $2,271 each. Sage Burress & Tyan Johnson took first in the third round for their 5.0 second run for $2,595 each. Logan Olson & Jade Nelson took first in the average for 15.6 seconds on three head to take home $3,893 each.
Easton West took first in the saddle bronc riding with his big 86 points on Show Stopper (Sutton Rodeos) for $2,595. John Thelen took first in the second round for his 86 point ride on Bugsy (Muddy Creek Pro Rodeo) for $2,595. There was a tie for first in the third round between Thayne Elshere on La Colors (Korkow Rodeos) and Easton West on Final Portrait (Muddy Creek Pro Rodeo) with both cowboys scoring matching 85 point rides to take home $2,271 each. Easton West also took first in the average for 256.5 points on three head for an additional $3,893.
Trey Young took first in the first round of the tie-down roping with his 8.4 second run to earn $2,595. Myles Kenzy took first in the second round for his 8.8 second run to pocket $2,595. Jerry Adamson took first in the third round with his 8.1 second run to earn $2,595 and first in the average for 27.9 seconds on three head to take home an additional $3,893.
Emilee Pauley took first in the barrel racing with her 13.71 second run to net her $2,595. Lisa Lockhart took first in the second round with her 13.42 second run to bring home $2,595. Molly Otto took first in the third round for her 13.45 second run to earn $2,595 and first in the average for 41.02 seconds on three head for an additional $3,893.
Taylor Engesser took first in the first round of the breakway roping with her 1.8 second run for $2,595. Sloan Anderson took first in the second round for her 2.2 second run to earn $2,595. Taylor Engesser took first again in the third round for her 1.8 second run to net her $2,595 and first in the average for 6.4 seconds on three head to take home an additional $3,893.
In the bull riding, Jestyn Woodward took first in the first round with his 85 point ride on Misery N Gin (Big Bucks Rodeo) for $2,811 and first in the second round for his 88.5 points on Schott In The Dark (Sutton Rodeos) for $2,595. Stran Smith took first in the third round for his 86 point ride on Party Bus (Sutton Rodeos) for $2,595. Jestyn Woodward also took first in the average for 256.5 points on three head for an additional $3,893.
Muddy Creek Pro Rodeo, Bailey Pro Rodeo, Korkow Rodeos, Sutton Rodeos, and Big Bucks Rodeo provided the stock. Ryan Hanna and Troy Crowser were the pickup men and Beau Schueth and Justin Ward provided the cowboy protection.
