The Cowgirl Gathering Last Chance Qualifier

Over 100 cowgirls showed up to try their hardest for a shot at making it into the Women's Rodeo World Championship on May 11th at The Cowgirl Gathering Breakaway Roping Last Chance Qualifier held at the Kerry Kelly Arena in Weatherford, Texas. Needless to say the competition was fierce and the ladies had to make a clean run under 2.8 to even stand a chance to make it to the short round.
In the Challenger Breakaway Round One, Bucki Harter took first with a 2.2 second run for $1,800. Emmry Edwards took second with a 2.5 second run for $1,500. Third went to Blakely Boardman for her 2.6 second run for $1,200. In Round Two, Keylee Zancanella took first with a quick 2.3 second run for $1,800, Kendyll Miller and Shay Griswold tied for second with matching 2.4 second runs for $1,350 each. Kaitlyn Torres took first in the average for 8.3 on 3 head to earn $6,400, Neelley Armes took second with 8.7 for $5,000, Quealy Probst took third with 8.9 for $4,000, Emma Ivie took fourth with a 9 to take home $3,000, McKinley Croffut placed fifth with her 9.1 to earn $2,000, and Anna Marie Egusquiza took sixth for her 9.7 for $1,000.

In the Open Breakaway, Danielle Lowman and Rylie Edens tied for first in Round One with both stopping the clock at 2.2 second to earn $1,967 each, with Rylie Edens taking home an additional $1,967 by playing first twice with separate runs. Rylee George took fourth with her 2.3 second run to earn $1,110. In Round Two, Maddie Jacobs had a lightning fast 1.8 second run for first to take home $2,500. Martha Angelone and Sarah Angelone tied for second with matching 1.9 second run for $1,700 each. And there was another tie for fourth between Danielle Lowman and Jade Mitchell with both ladies having 2.1 second runs for $550 each. The fastest time in the short go went to Haiden Thompson who got one roped in 2 seconds flat for first and a check for $2,000. Danielle Lowman got herself another check in this round with a 2.1. She tied for second with Shelby Meged to earn $1,150 each. These ladies also tied for first in the average with 7.1 on 3 head for an additional $7,750. There was a tie for third in in the average between Cheyanna McCartney and Jaycie Davison who had 7.6 second runs for $5,500. Cheyanna McCartney also placed fifth with 7.7 on 3 head for an additional $4,000. Haiden Thompson took sixth with a 7.8 for $2,900. Seventh place went to Rylie Edens for 7.9 to bring home $1,800. And Rylee George took eighth for 8.2 to earn $1,200.

The W25 Last Chance Qualifiers for Challenger were Neeley Armes, Emma Ivie, Ann Egusquiza, Kirsten George. For Limited Kaitlyn Torres, McKenzie Gunter, Sierra Prock, Cate Cooper, Emmry Edwards, and Blakey Boardman all qualified. Shelby Meged, Danielle Lowman, Haiden Thompson, Rylie Smith, and Hope Thompson all qualified for the Pros. These ladies all headed to Fort Worth for a chance at the Women's Rodeo World Championship and a piece of the $802,000 payout.
