Tehachapi Mountain Rodeo

The Tehachapi Mountain Rodeo was held August 15-16th at the Tehachapi Rodeo Grounds in Tehachapi, California. Doyle Hoskins was awarded all-around cowboy and $2,978 for competing in the tie-down roping and team roping. He also took fourth paired with heeler Will Cowden for their 8.2 second run for another $1,421. He also tied for first in the tie-donw roping with Kevin Santos, with both ropers stopping the clock at 11.2 seconds to net them $1,557 each. Taite Stickler took first in the steer wrestling for his 6.7 second run to earn $1,581. Caden Lehman & Joseph Shawnego took first in the team roping for their 7.1 second run to take home $2,335 each. James Mann took first in the saddle bronc riding for his smooth 84 point ride on Star Born (Four Star Rodeo) for $1,393. Kathy Petska took first in the barrel racing for her 17.60 second run to take home $1,500. Alissa Erickson took first in the breakaway roping for her 3.1 second run to earn $1,773.  Justin Rickard took first in one of only two qualified rides with his 79 points on Snap Chat (Four Star Rodeo) for $2,575. Four Star Rodeo provided the stock.  Jared Groene and Josh Reed were the pickup men and Dave Murdoch and Austin Jones were the bullfighters.
