Summit County Fair & Rodeo

The Summit County Fair & Rodeo was held August 7-9th in Summit County Fairgrounds in Coalville, Utah. Tyson Hirschi was awarded all-around cowboy and a check for $349 for competing in the bareback riding and bull riding. He also took eighth in the bareback riding for his 77 point ride for another $349. Kade Sonnier took first in the bareback riding with his huge 87.5 point ride on Empty Promises (Andrews Rodeo) for $3,490. There was a tie for first in the steer wrestling between Riley Duvall and Seth Peterson, with both bulldoggers stopping the clock at 4.4 seconds to take home $1,778 each. In the tie-down roping, Brodi Jones & Brian Roundy took first in the team roping with their 4.3 second run to take home $2,684 each.  Jasper Frost took first in the saddle bronc riding with an 85 points on Lindsey's Thunder (Diamond G Rodeo) for $3,694. Waid Dalton and Chase Webster tied for first in the tie-down roping with their 10.6 second run to earn $1,728 each. Amanda Butler took first in the barrel racing with her 17.31 second run to net her $2,079. Tristen Hutchings took first in the bull riding with a beauty of an 88 point ride on Buckin Hippie (Andrews Rodeo) for $7,351. Diamond G Rodeo, Jason Clemens, and Andrews Rodeo provided the stock. Duane Gilbert and Kagan Gilbert were the pickup men and Westlee Jones and Preston Robinson kept the bull riders safe.
