Stavely Pro Rodeo

The Stavely Pro Rodeo was held June 11-13th in Stavely, Alberta at the Stavely Indoor Arena. Orin Larsen took first with a big 87.5 points on Night Magic (Outlaw Buckers) for $1,453. Evan Spady took first in the steer wrestling with his quick 3.4 seconds run to pocket $2,757. Cooper Olson & Denim Fletcher took first in the team roping with their 4.2 seconds to take home $2,681 each. There was a tie for first in the saddle bronc riding between Samuel Flaherty on One More Reason (Vold Rodeo) and Jake Watson on Strawberry (Big O Rodeo), with both riders scoring matching 83.5 points rides to net them $1,697 each. Jason Smith took first in the tie-down roping with his fast 8.4 seconds run to earn $3,135. Paige Jones was the fastest in the barrel racing with her 16.47 seconds run to pocket $3,854. Payton Scalzo took first in the breakaway roping with her 2.6 seconds run to earn $2,538. Nick Tetz took first in the bull riding with an electric 90.5 point ride on Lost Creek (Vold Rodeo) for $1,994.

Total payout this year was $106,775.90. Vold Rodeo provided the stock along with sub-contractors Outlaw Buckers Yule Rodeo and Big O Rodeo. Stran Schlosser and Tyler Thomson were the pickup men and Chase Keeley and Connor Larrivee were the bullfighterss.
