Springville Sierra Rodeo

The Springville Sierra Rodeo was held April 26-27th in Springville, California. This rodeo is another one of the popular rodeos for the top cowboys and cowgirls to hit who are making there ways through the California circuit rodeos. Brushton Minton was awarded all-around cowboy for entering the tie-down roping and team roping to take home a $4,020 check. He tied for fourth place in the team roping with headed Tanner Green for another $1,670 check thanks to their 5.6 second run, and second in the tie-down roping for his 9.0 run for an additional $2,350. R.C. Landingham, who is off to a very strong start this season, took first in the bareback riding with his 84.5 point ride on Carmelita (Four Star Rodeo) to earn $1,973. In the steer wrestling, Denell Henderson took first with a fast 3.8 second run for $2,227. Cutter Machado & Dalton Pearce took first in the team roping with a quick 4.5 second run to take home $2,705 each. There was a three way tie for first in the saddle bronc riding between Lefty Holman, on Betty (Four Star Rodeo), Kaden Chance Horrocks, on Mandalay (Four Star Rodeo) and Reed Neely, on Wizard (Four Star Rodeo), with each having matching 83.5 point rides for $1,641 each. James Mann took first in the tie-down roping with his 8.7 second run for a $2,703 check. In the barrel racing, Tricia Aldridge took first with her17.20 second run to earn $2,361. There was also a tie for first in the bull riding between Cooper James, on Misunderstood (Big Stone Rodeo Inc) and Robbie Taylor, on The Natural (Four Star Rodeo) with both having huge 88.5 point rides to take home $3,487 each. The stock contractor was Four Star Rodeo with sub-contractor Big Stone Rodeo Inc.  Austin Jones and Dave Murdoch were the bullfighters and Jeffrey Shearer and Rick Moffatt were the pickup men.
