The Sikeston Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo was held August 6-9th at the Art Saunders Arena in Sikeston, Missouri. All-around cowboy went to Clay Ellis for competing in the tie-down roping and team roping to earn $5,424. He also took second in the first round of the tie-down roping for his 9.8 to bring home another $1,934, sixth in the second round for his 10.2 run for $773, and third in the average for 20.0 seconds on two head for an additional $2,465.
In the roughstock events, Rocker Steiner took first in the bareback riding for his phenomenal 89.5 point ride on Wild Thang (Cervi Championship Rodeo) for $6,557. Waitley Sharon took first in the saddle bronc riding with an impressive 89.5 points on R. Watson's Prai (The Cervi Brothers) o to net him $6,881. Jate Frost took first in the bull riding for his huge 88.5 points on Bar Fly (Cervi Championship Rodeo) for $8,227.
Ty Standley took first in the first round with his 4.2 second run to pocket $2,000. Jeff Miller took first in the second round for his 4.5 second run to earn $2,000. First in the average went to Kyle Irwin for 9.6 seconds on two head to take home $3,000.
There was a tie for first in the first round of the team roping between Corben Culley & Trent Vaught and Coy Rahlmann & Cole Curry, with both teams stopping the clock at 5.0 seconds to earn $1,802 each. Cooper Cowan & Cade Cowan took first in the second round for their 4.9 seconds to net them $1,927 each. Jesse Boos & Reed Boos took first in the average for 11.0 seconds on two head to bring home $2,891 each.
Tyler Milligan took first in the first round of the tie-down roping for his 8.9 second run to earn $2,224. Ben Walker took first in the second round for his 8.6 second run for $2,224. First in the average went to Tyler Milligan for 18.7 seconds on two head to pocket $3,336.
Marne Loosenort took first in the barrel racing for her 15.94 second run to take home $6,287.
Cervi Championship Rodeo provided the stock along with sub-contractors Corey & Lange Rodeo, Generations Pro Rodeo, Jeff Miller, Jason Stroup, and The Cervi Brothers. Taos Muncy and Chase Cervi were the pickup men and Chuck Swisher, Weston Rutkowski, and Dekevis Jordan provided the cowboy protection.
