Sand & Sage Roundup

The Sand & Sage Roundup kicked off August 8-9th at the Prowers Co Fairgrounds in Lamar, Colorado. Wyatt Williams was awarded all-around cowboy for competing in the tie-down roping and steer wrestling to take home $993. He also placed sixth in the tie-down roping for his 10.2 second run to take home another $476 and tied for third in the steer wrestling for his  5.0 second run to take home an additional $768. Boyce Kraut took first in the bareback riding for his 82 point ride on Birthday Girl (Salt River Rodeo) for $1,042. Tanner Brunner took first in the steer wrestling for his 4.0 second run to earn $1,349. Austin Crist & Dave Tripp took first in the team roping for their 5.1 second run to take home $967 each. Mitchell Story took first in the saddle bronc riding with his huge 90 points on Blue Canyon (Salt River Rodeo) for $1,433. Joseph Gernentz took first in the tie-down roping with his 9.0 second run to net him $1,308. Brylee Banning took first in the barrel racing with her 17.47 second run to earn $1,131. Colton Coffman took first in the bull riding for his impressive 87 point ride on Saturday Night F (Salt River Rodeo) for $1,948. Salt River Rodeo provided the stock. Richie Harris and Cody Escobedo provided the cowboy protection and Cody Resor and Tanner Resor were the pickup men.
