Rodeo Houston Super Series 1-3

Rodeo Houston kicked off March 4 in Houston, Texas. This rodeo is a huge one for athletes, especially those looking to make it to this year's Wrangler NFR, with nearly 2 million in payout. It consists of five Super Series with eight athletes in each of the Super Series competing over three days for one of four spots to advance to one of the two Semifinal rounds. The top four athletes from the both of the Semifinal rounds will advance to the Championship round and the remaining six move onto the Wild Card round for a second chance at a spot in the Championship round. The top four athletes from the Championship immediately compete again in the Shootout Round to become the event champion and earn a check for $65,000.
Super Series 1
There was a tie in First Round of the bareback riding for first between Waylon Bourgeois, on Family Tradition (Cervi Championship Rodeo) and Sam Petersen, on Ain't No Angel (Cervi Championship Rodeo) who both had big 86 points for $2,500 each. In Second Round, Waylon Bourgeois took first again with an 85 point ride on Organic Outlaw (Cervi Championship Rodeo) for $3,000 and first in Round Three with an 87 points on Stomper (Rocky Mountain Rodeo) for another $3,000. He will be advancing on with Jess Pope, Sam Petersen, and Cole Reiner.

Dalton Massey took first in the First Round of the steer wrestling with a quick 5.1 second run for $3,000. Tyler Waguespack took first in the Second Round with his 4.4 second run for $3,000. Tanner Brunner took first in the Third Round with a 4.5 second run. Tyler Waguespack, Kyle Irwin, J.D. Struxness, and Dalton Massey are all qualified to move on.
In the First Round of the team roping, Brenten Hall & Kaden Profili took first with a 5.0 second run to take home $3,000 each. Tyler Tryan & Denton Dunning took first in the Second Round with a 5.0 second run for $3,000 each. Tanner Tomlinson & Travis Graves took first in the Third Round with a 4.3 second run for $3,000 each. The teams continuing on will be Tyler Tryan & Denton Dunning, Tanner Tomlinson & Travis Graves, Erich Rogers & Kollin VonAhn, and Clint Summers & Paul Eaves.
Dawson Hay had a big 87 point ride for first in the First Round in the saddle bronc riding on Canyon Sunset (Cervi Championship Rodeo) for $3,000. Logan Cook took first in the Second Round with his 86 point ride on Big Bang (Cervi Championship Rodeo) for $3,000. Riggin Smith took first in the Third Round with an 86 points on Steak Sauce (The Cervi Brothers) for $3,000. Qualifying to move on are Dawson Hay, Logan Cook, Riggin Smith, and Zachary Dallas.
Kincade Henry took first in the First Round of the tie-down roping with his 9.5 second run for $3,000 and took another 3k with first in the Second Round with a 8.6 second run. Cash Hooper, took first in the Third Round with an 8.7 second run for $3,000. Kincade Henry, Brushton Minton, Cash Hooper, and Marty Yates will all advance on.

In the barrel racing, Paige Jones took first in the First Round with her14.59 second run for $3,000. Lisa Lockhart took first in the Second Round with a quick 14.55 second run for $3,000. Lisa Lockhart took first in the Third Round with a 14.35 second run for $3,000. The ladies moving on are Lisa Lockhart, Paige Jones, Andrea Busby, and Michelle Alley.
Brody Yeary took first in First Round of the bull riding with an 81.5 points on Newsflash (Cervi Championship Rodeo) for $3,000. Stetson Dell Wright took first in the Second Round with an 85.5 point ride on Spilled Communion (Rocky Mountain Rodeo) for $3,000. T.J. Gray, 85.5 points on Broken Dreams (Cervi Championship Rodeo) for $3,000. Mason Moody, Brody Yeary, Stetson Dell Wright, and TJ Gray will all advance on.
Super Series 2
Leighton Berry took first in the First Round with an 83.5 point ride on Frontier Hostage (The Cervi Brothers) for $3,000. In the Second Round, Kade Sonnier took first with an 87.5 point ride on Honcho (Cervi Championship Rodeo) for $3,000. Lane McGehee took first in the Third Round with an 88 points on Wyatt Earp (Cervi Championship Rodeo) for $3,000. The athletes progressing on are Cole Franks, Leighton Berry, Kade Sonnier, and Orin Larsen.

In the First Round of the bulldogging, Trisyn Kalawaia took first with a 6.8 second run for $3,000. Gavin Soileau took first in the Second Round with his 5.0 second run for $3,000. In the Third Round, Travis Munro took first with a 4.5 second run for $3,000. Eli Lord, Travis Munro, Trisyn Kalawaia, and Gavin Soileau will all move on.

Andrew Ward & Jake Long took first in the First Round with a 6.3 second run for $3,000 each. Dawson Graham & Dillon Graham took first in the Second Round with their 5.4 second run for $3,000 each. Coy Brittain & Colton Brittain took first in the Third Round with their 5.9 second run for $3,000 each. The teams advancing on are Coy Brittain & Colton Brittain, Billy Bob Brown & Landen Glenn, Tee McLeod & Sid Sporer, and Dawson Graham & Dillon Graham.

Zeke Thurston took first in the First Round of the saddle bronc riding with an 84 points on Redial (Cervi Championship Rodeo) for $3,000 and picked up another 3k taking first in the Second Round on 88.5 points on Mike Honcho (The Cervi Brothers). Layton Green took first in the Third Round with an 85.5 point ride on Don Juan (The Cervi Brothers) for $3,000. Zeke Thurston, Layton Green, Statler Wright, and Dawson Dahm will all move on.
In the tie-down roping, Bo Pickett took first in the First Round with his 9.3 second run for $3,000. Zack Jongbloed took first in the Second Round with his 10.2 second run. Joel Harris took first in the Third Round with a 7.8 second run for $3,000. The athletes progressing on are Bo Pickett, Tyler Calhoun, Zack Jongbloed, and Joel Harris.
Brittany Pozzi Tonozzi took first in the First Round with her 14.37 second run for $3,000 and another 3k in with a 14.46 second fun for first in the Second Round. Jamie Olsen took first in the Third Round with an 14.74 second run for $3,000. The ladies that qualified to move on are Brittany Pozzi Tonozzi, Jamie Olsen, Sissy Winn, and Tayla Moeykens.
Lane Vaughan took first in the bull riding with an 80.5 point ride on Bad Memory (The Cervi Brothers) for $3,000. Scottie Knapp took first in the Second Round with an 88 points on Anthrax (Cervi Championship Rodeo) for $3,000. Wacey Schalla took first in the Third Round with an 88 points on Unjustified (Bailey Pro Rodeo) for $3,000. Wacey Schalla, Scottie Knapp, Lane Vaughan, and Jackson Ward will all move on.
Super Series 3
In the First Round of the bareback riding, Dean Thompson took first with an 88.5 point ride on Cinchy Whitney (Calgary Stampede) for $3,000. There was a tie in the Second Round for first between Cooper Cooke, on Zastron Acres (Calgary Stampede), and Dean Thompson, on Forgetfully Nelly (Calgary Stampede) who both had big 85 point rides for $2,500 each. Bradlee Miller took first in the Third Round 85 point ride on Big Timin Houston (Calgary Stampede) for $3,000. Dean Thompson, Cooper Cooke, Bradlee Miller, and Chad Rutherford qualified to move on.

There was a tie for first in the First Round of the steer wrestling between Stetson Jorgensen and Cash Robb who both had 5.2 second runs for $2,500 each. Cash Robb took first again in the Second Round with his 4.7 second run for $3,000. Holden Myers took first in the Third Round with a 4.8 second run for $3,000. Advancing on will be Cash Robb, Holden Myers, Stetson Jorgensen, and Ty Erickson.
In the First Round of the team roping, Dustin Egusquiza & Levi Lord took first with their 5.1 second run for $3,000 each. Coleman Proctor & Logan Medlin took first in the Second Round with a 5.7 second run for $3,000 each. Dustin Egusquiza & Levi Lord took first again in the Third Round with their 5.3 second run for $3,000 each. The teams continuing on are Dustin Egusquiza & Levi Lord, Coleman Proctor & Logan Medlin, Tyler Wade & Wesley Thorp, and Clay Smith & Coleby Payne.
Logan Hay took first in the First Round of the saddle bronc riding with an 85.5 point ride on Yuppie Bubbles (Calgary Stampede) for $3,000. Kolby Wanchuk, took first in the Second Round with his 86.5 points on Y u R Frisky (Calgary Stampede) for $3,000. Ben Andersen took first in the Third Round with an huge 89 point ride on Xena Warrior (Calgary Stampede) for $3,000. Ben Andersen, Kolby Wanchuk, Logan Hay, and Chase Brookswill advance on.
Cory Solomon took first in the First Round of the tie-down roping with a 9.3 second run for $3,000. Riley Mason Webb took first in the Second Round with an 8.4 second run for $3,000 and first in the Third Round with his 8.2 second run for another $3,000. Riley Mason Webb, John Douch, Cory Solomon, Marcos Costa are progressing on.

In the First Round of the barrel racing, Abby Phillips took first with her 14.71 second run $3,000. Emily Beisel took first in the Second Round with her 14.58 second for $3,000. Kassie Mowry took first in the Third Round with a 14.69 second run for $3,000. Emily Beisel, Kassie Mowry, Abby Phillips, and Jordon Brigg qualified to move on.
Trevor Reiste took first in the First Round with his 86.5 point ride on Speed Test (Generations Pro Rodeo) for $3,000, first again in the Second Round with an 86.5 points on Buckskin Billy (Generations Pro Rodeo) for $3,000, and first again in the Third Round with an 87 points on Mr. Gardner (Generations Pro Rodeo) for another $3,000. The bull riders qualified to move on are Trevor Reiste, Maverick Potter, Clayton Sellars, and Trey Benton III.
