Pioneer Days Rodeo

The Pioneer Days Rodeo kicked off it's 53rd year May1-3rd in Clovis, New Mexico as part of the Turquoise circuit rodeos. Toby Deudney earned himself a check for $2,087 for all-around cowboy for competing in bareback riding and bull riding. He also placed sixth in the bareback riding with his 80 point ride for $227, and first in the bull riding for his big 87 points on Cowboy Bob (Generations Pro Rodeo) to take home a $3,045 check. Kashton Ford took first in the bareback riding with his 86 point ride on Tube Socks (The Cervi Brothers) to earn)$1,495. Matt Jodie took first in the steer wrestling with his 5.0 second run for $1,343. Hiyo Yazzie & Shawn Murphy took first in the team roping with their 4.8 second run to take home $2,184 each. In the saddle bronc riding, Zachary Dallas took first with his 87 point ride on Stink Bug (The Cervi Brothers) for $1,756. Pecos Tatum took first in the tie-down roping with his 8.4 second run to win $1,833. Hadley Tidwell took first in the barrel racing with her 15.50 second run to take home $2,066. Cheyenne Britain took first in the breakaway roping with a quick 1.7 second run for $2,643.


In the first round of the steer roping,  Cole Patterson took first with his 10.7 second run to earn $1,339 and first in the second round with another 10.7 second to earn an additional $1,339. Vin Fisher Jr. took first in the third round with his 9.7 second run to take home a check for $1,339. First in the average went to Cole Patterson for 33.3 seconds on three head to earn an additional $2,008.


Cervi Championship Rodeo with sub-contractors Generations Pro Rodeo, Jace Honey, Corey Ross, TROY MCDONALD, Quade Hiatt, and The Cervi Brothers provided the stock. Tanner Jones and Jake Welker kept the bull riders safe.
