Owyhee County Rodeo

The Owyhee County Rodeo was held August 7-9th at the Owyhee County Arena in Homedale, Idaho. All-around cowboy went to Sam Saunders who earned himself $2,228 by competing in the tie-down roping and team roping. He also tied for first in the team roping paried with header Jett Stewart with Cyle Denison & Lane Mitchell, and Cole Eiguren & Breck Ward, with all three teams stopping the clock at 4.6 seconds to take home $2,228 each. Ty Holmes took first in the bareback riding with his 73 point ride on Just Because (Corey & Lange Rodeo) for $2,369. Dalton Massey took first in the steer wrestling for his 4.0 second run to earn $2,140. Kade Bruno took first in the saddle bronc riding with his big 86.5 points on Key-lix Second T (Big Stone Rodeo Inc) for $2,927. Riley Mason Webb took first in the tie-down roping with his 8.7 second run to earn $2,411. Megan McLeod-Sprague took first in the barrel racing with her 16.85 second run to net her $2,209. Mossy Waite took first in the bull riding with his smooth 85 point ride on Peace Out (Corey & Lange Rodeo) for $6,034. Corey & Lange Rodeo provided the stock along with sub-contractors Gene King, Jason Clemens, and Big Stone Rodeo Inc. Jerad McFarlane and Troy Heinert were the pickup men and Ruger Jennings and Del Rude kept the bull riders safe.
