Old Santa Ynez Days Rodeo

The Old Santa Ynez Days Rodeo was held June 21-22nd at the Chumash Arena in Santa Ynez, California. All-around cowboy went to James Mann who earned himself $2,557 for competing in the saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, and steer wrestling. He also placed sixth in the steer wrestling with his 7.7 run for another $978, and tied for third in the saddle bronc riding with his 81.5 point ride for an additional $1,579. There was a tie for first in the bareback riding between Jacek Frost on What's Crackin' (Big Bucks Rodeo) and Rocker Steiner on Kahlula (Big Bucks Rodeo) with both riders scoring 87.5 point rides to bring home $2,989 each. Grant Peterson took firt in the steer wrestling with his 4.0 second run to earn $2,811. Cutter Machado & Dalton Pearce took first in the team roping with their 5.1 second run to bring home $3,316 each.  Jasper Frost took first in the saddle bronc riding with his big 86 point ride on Keoki (Big Bucks Rodeo) for $3,384. Macon Murphy took first with in the tie-down roping with an 8.7 second run to earn $2,757. Makenna Shook took first in the barrel racing with her fast 14.91 second run to pocket $3,225. In the breakaway roping, Cassidy Barnes took first with her quick 2.7 second run to net her $3,558.  Colby Demo took first in the bull riding with his big 85 points on Boots (Empire Rodeo) for $3,887. Empire Rodeo along with sub-contractors Big Bucks Rodeo, Steve Simons, and Tanner Kent. Milo Dewitt and Josh Reed were the pickup men and Warren Enz and Abraham Ansolabehere were the bullfighters.
