Northeast Montana Fair & Rodeo

The Northeast Montana Fair & Rodeo took place August 5-6th at the Northeast Montana Fairgrounds in Glasgow, Montana. All-around cowboy went to Brad Moreno, who earned himself a $1,853 check for competing in bull riding, tie-down roping and team roping. He also took second in the bull riding for his 84 point ride for another $1,488. Will Norstrom took first in the bareback riding with his 82.5 point ride on Majestic Robin (J Bar J) for $1,601. In the saddle bronc riding,  Jackson Ford took first for his big 84 point ride on Painted Commotio (J Bar J) to earn $1,909. There was a tie for first in the barrel racing between Heather Crowley and Anneliese McCurry, with both cowgirls stopping the clock at 17.51 second to take home $1,388 each. Tahj Wells took first in the bull riding with his strong 85 point ride on Little Blonde (J Bar J) for $1,777.

In the first round of the steer wrestling, Logan Beattie took first for his 4.5 second run to pocket $966. Joe Nelson took first in the second round with his 4.0 second run for $966. First in teh average went to Trevin Fox for 9.0 seconds on two head to bring home $1,449.

Aaron Tsinigine & Ty Romo took first in the first round for their 6.0 second run to net them $1,340 each. Brady Tryan & Calgary Smith took first in the second round with their 4.7 second run to earn $1,340 each. Gunner Plenty & Mason Trollinger took first in the average for their 12.7 seconds on two head to take home $2,009 each.

J.C. Crowley took first in the first round of the tie-down roping for his 8.7 second run to earn $1,223. Bodie Mattson took first in the second round or his 8.9 second run to for $1,223. First in the average went to Winston Brown for his 19.4 seconds on two head to net him $1,834.

Hank Hollenbeck took first in the first round of the steer roping with his 16.4 second run for $623. Matthew Jones took first in the second round with his 14.4 second run to earn $623. Jade Lyon took first in the average for his 36.0 seconds on two head to pocket $935.

In the first round of the breakaway roping, Brooke Curuchet took first with her fast 2.4 second run to earn $1,148. There was a tie for first in the second round between Ellie Meeks and Tiffany Schieck, with both ladies having matching 1.9 second runs to take home $1,049 each.

J Bar J. and Paul Eiker and Ora Taton provided the stock.  Justin Kissack and Ben Wrzesinski were the stock contractors and Sylvan La Cross and Trenton Lambert were the bullfighters.
