Houston Final and Shootout Round

The Houston Rodeo came to a close with some cowboys and cowboys leaving H-town with heavier pockets. One of those cowboys was Rocker Steiner who took first in the bareback riding in the finals with his 88.5 points on Pancake King (Cervi Championship Rodeo) followed by a huge 90.5 point ride on Disco Party (Calgary Stampede) for the big $65,000 check. Dalton Massey took first in the steer wrestling finals with his 3.9 seconds run. Young gun Holden Myers took first in the shootout round with his 4.0 seconds run to earn $65,000. Jake Smith & Douglas Rich took first in the final round of the team roping with their 4.7 seconds run but were beat out in the shootout round by .1 seconds by Korbin Rice & Cooper Freeman with their 4.6 seconds to net them $65,000 each. There was a tie for first in the saddle bronc riding with between Shorty Garrett on Larry Culpepper (Pete Carr Pro Rodeo) and Stetson Dell Wright on Shamus (Generations Pro Rodeo) with both riders scoring 88 points; however it was Stetson who walked away in the shootout round with the 65k for his 84.5 point ride on Vitalix Womanizer (The Cervi Brothers). Riley Mason Webb took first in the tie-down roping with his 7.5 seconds run and took first in the shootout for his 6.5 seconds run to take home $65,000. Hailey Kinsel took first in the finals for her 14.30 seconds run but was beat out in the shootout round by Kassie Mowry for her 14.19 seconds run to earn the $65,000 payout. Macy Young took first in the finals of the breakaway roping with her 2.4 seconds run but Hali Williams had the fastest time in the shootout with her 2.6 seconds run to pocket the $65,000. Trevor Reiste took first in the in the final round with his 86 point ride on Centerfold (Cervi Championship Rodeo) but only Jake Gardner was able to cover his bull with in the shootout round with his 86 point ride on Bandalero (Cervi Championship Rodeo) for $65,000.


This year the total payout totaled $2,252,000. Cervi Championship Rodeo provided the stock along with sub-contractors Calgary Stampede, Andrews Rodeo, Bailey Pro Rodeo, Generations Pro Rodeo, Pete Carr, Rocky Mountain Rodeo, The Cervi Brothers, Quincy Kueckelhan, Lanham Mangold, Jace Honey, Diamond G Rodeo and Pete Carr Pro Rodeo. Chase Cervi, Randy Britton, Taos Muncy and Tyler Kraft were the pickup men and Beau Schueth, Nathan Jestes, Dusty Tuckness and Nathan Harp kept the bullfighters safe.
