Helotes Festival Association Rodeo

The Helotes Festival Association Rodeo was held in Helotes, Texas May 1-3. Colin Fox took first in the steer wrestling for his 4.3 second run to earn a check for $1,479. He also took all-around cowboy for entering the tie-down roping as well to take home another $1,479. Tucker Carricato took first in the bareback riding with an 87 points on Cool Hand Luke (Diamond G Rodeo) to earn $1,427. There was a tie for first in the team roping between Jake Orman & Caleb Green and Garrett Tonozzi & Conner Herren with both teams stopping the clock at 6.2 second to earn $1,627 each. Darcy Wockner took first in the saddle bronc riding with a big 86.5 point ride on Lindsey's Thunder Rolz (Diamond G Rodeo) for $1,799. In the tie-down roping, Guy Raasch took first with his11.3 second run to earn $1,561. Jo Fisher took first in the barrel racing with her 15.91 second run for $1,435. There was also a tie for first in the bull riding between Winston Lopez, on Hightrain (Andrews Rodeo) and Grady Young, on Working Man Blue (Andrews Rodeo) with both having 87.5 point ride to take home $1,729 each. Andrews Rodeo provided the stock along with sub-conractors Diamond G Rodeo, Bobby Joe Hill, and JJ Miller. Matt Scott and Justin Wahlberg were the pickup men and Romeo Allen and Ryan Fizer provided the cowboy protection.
