Fort Worth Stock Show Brackets 4-7

The Fort Worth Stock Show is slowly making its way to the semifinals round with Brackets 4-7 full of rodeo action and highlights. The competition was nothing short of fierce this year with athletes fighting for high scores in the roughstock events and low times in the timed events.

Starting off with the roughstock events, it was another day of 90 point rides with Jayco Roper taking first in the bareback in Round 1 with his 90.5 point ride on The Crow (Championship Pro Rodeo) to qualify for the semifinals. Jacob Lees took first in Round 2 with his 88.5 point ride on Tarnished Silver (Three Hills Rodeo) and will join Roper in the semifinals. Nick Pelke secured a spot in the Wild Card round. In the saddle bronc riding, Canadian Quinten Taylor took first in Round 1 with his 87 point ride on Bad Habits (Penthouse Pro Rodeo) and a spot in the semifinals. He will be joined by Brody Wells who took first in Round 2 with his 88 point ride on Angel Cat (Stace Smith Pro Rodeo). Wyatt Casper took the Wild Card spot. In bull riding, T Parker took first in Round 1 with an 88 points on Nashvegas (Rafter G Rodeo). He will move on to the semifinals with Jax Mills who took first in Round 2 with an 88 point ride on Ozone Baby (TNT Pro Rodeo). Ernie Courson, Jr. secured a spot in the Wild Card round.

In the men's timed events, Chance Howard took first in Round 1 of the steer wrestling with a 4.1 second run for a spot in the semifinals with Jesse Brown. Rowdy Parrott took first in Round 2 with a quick 3.7 second run for a spot in the Wild Card round. In the tie-down roping Haven Meged took first with a 9.7 second run and tied for first in Round 2 with an 8.5 second run with Chet Weitz to earn both a spot in the semifinals. The Wild Card spot went to John Douch. Dustin Eguisquiza & Levi Lord took first in Round 1 of the team roping with a fast 3.6 second run and first in Round 2 with a 4.0 seconds run to advance to the semifinals with Tanner Tomlinson & Travis Graves. Wyatt and Paden Bray will move onto the Wild Card round.

In the women's timed events, there was a tie for first in Round 1 between Taylor Munsell and Addie Weil who both had 2.2 second runs for a spot in the semifinals. Aspen Miller took first in Round 2 with her 1.8 second run for a spot in the Wild Card round. Fan favorite Emily Beisel took first in Round 1 of the barrel racing with her 16.11 second run and first in Round 2 with an 16.26 second run to secure her spot in the semifinals with Chelsea Moore. Jordan Driver will advance to the Wild Card round.

In the roughstock events, Tilden Hooper had a big 90 point ride on Risky Business (Smith Pro Rodeo) for first in the bareback riding in Round 1 and a spot in the semifinals with Jacek Frost. Clayton Biglow also had a big 90.5 point ride for first in Round 2 on Nightcrawler (Pickett Pro Rodeo Boot Barn). Richmond Champion scored a spot in the Wild Card round. There was a tie for first in Round 1 of the saddle bronc riding between Gus Gaillard, on Bell Prize (Smith Pro Rodeo), and Statler Wright on Angel Warrior (Smith Pro Rodeo) who both had 84.5 point rides. Statler Wright continued to dominate in Round 2 with a bigger 87 point ride on Zorta Proud (Calgary Stampede) for a spot in the semifinals with Gaillard. Weston Peterson is moving onto the Wild Card round. Trey Holston took first in the bull riding in Round 1 with an 87 point ride on Midnight Magic (Rafter G Rodeo) and in Round 2 with an 89.5 point ride on Southern Cowboy (Pickett Pro Rodeo) for a spot in the semifinals with Hayden Ferguson. Kobe Whitford secured his spot in the Wild Card round.

In the men's timed events, Riley Duvall took first in the steer wrestling in Round 1 with an 3.8 second run for a spot in the semifinals with Hawaiian cowboy Trisyn Kalawaia, who took first in Round 2 with his 3.8 second run. Canadian Ryan Shuckburgh secured a spot in the Wild Card round. In the team roping, Tyler Tryan & Denton Dunning took first in Round 1 with their 3.9 second run for a spot in the semifinals. Andrew Ward & Jake Long took first in Round 2 with their 3.7 second run for the other spot in the semifinals. Clint Summers & Paul Eaves are moving onto the Wild Card round. Brushton Minton took first in Round 1 with his 8.2 second run for a spot in the semifinals with Kyle Lucas. Canadian Logan Bird took first in Round 2 with his 9.2 second run for a spot in the Wild Card round.


In the women's timed events, Maddy Deerman took first in Round 1 with her quick 1.9 second run for a spot in the semifinals with Bailey Bates who took first in Round 2 with her 2.0 second run. Taylor Raupe will be moving onto the Wild Card round. In the barrel racing, Jordon Briggs took first in Round 1 with her 16.30 second run for a spot in the semifinals with Shelley Morgan. Helen Nowosad took first in Round 2 with her 16.26 seconds run for a spot in the Wild Card round.


Bracket 6

In the roughstock events, in Round 1 of the bareback riding Cooper Cooke took first with an 87 point ride on Cinchy Whitney (Calgary Stampede) for a spot in the semifinals. Jess Pope took first in Round 2 with an 85 point ride on Forged Warrior (Calgary Stampede) to join Cooke in the semifinals. Aussie Strawbs Jones punched his card to the Wild Card round. In Round 1 of the saddle bronc riding, Canadian champion Zeke Thurston took first with an 89 points on Bill Fick Top Egyptian (Pickett Pro Rodeo) for a spot in the semifinals with Aussie Jake Finlay who took first in Round 2 with an 89 point ride on Shamus (Generations Pro Rodeo). Dawson Hay will be moving onto the Wild Card round. In the bull riding, TJ Gray had a nearly flawless 92 point ride on Rank Frank (Rafter G Rodeo) for a spot in the semifinals with Jestyn Woodward, who took first in Round 2 with an 88.5 points on Whiskey River (Rafter G Rodeo). Rawley Johnson took the spot in the Wild Card round.

In the men's timed events, Shane Frey took first in Round 1 of the steer wrestling with his 4.2 second run to advance to the Wild Card round. Winsten McGraw took first in Round 2 with his 4.8 seconds run. Advancing to the semifinals are Cody Devers and Mike McGinn. Kellan & Carson Johnson took first in Round 1 of the team roping with their 4.3 second run. Kreece Thompson & Jace Helton took first in Round 2 with their 4.3 second and a spot in the semifinals with Cody Carter & Blake Bentley. Advancing to the Wild Card round is Jake Clay & Tanner Braden. In the tie-down roping Garrett Jacobs took first with his 9.1 second run for a spot in the semifinals with Ty Harris who took first in Round 2 with an 8.7 second run. Colton Farquer earn a spot in the Wild Card round.

In the women's timed events, Jenna Dallyn took first in Round 1 of the breakaway roping with her 1.8 second run and first in Round 2 with a 2.1 second run to advance to the semifinals with Shaya Biever. Rickie Fanning is moving onto the Wild Card round. There was a tie for first in Round 1 between Keyla Costa and Halyn Lide, with both ladies stopping the clock at 16.68 seconds. Halyn Lide also took first in Round 2 with her 16.21 second run to secure a spot in the finals with Leslie Smalygo. Keyla Costa is moving on to the Wild Card round.

In the final bracket before the Wild Card round, Sam Petersen took first in Round 1 of the bareback riding with an 86.5 points on Buffalo Gypsy (Generations Pro Rodeo) and first in Round 2 with an 86 points on Dirty Looks (Macza Pro Rodeo) for a spot in the semifinals with Wacey Schalla. Ben Kramer is moving on to the Wild Card round. Layton Green took first in Round 1 of the saddle bronc riding with an 86 points on (Macza Pro Rodeo) Mary Jane to advance to the semifinals with fellow Canadian Lucas Macza who took first in Round 2 with an 88 points on Texan (Rafter G Rodeo). Ira Dickinson secured a spot in the semifinals. There was a tie in the bull riding in Round 1 between Tristan Mize on Kingdom (Cowtown Rodeo) and Cutter Kaylor on James Brown (Rafter G Rodeo) who both had 88 point rides for first and spots in the semifinals. There was a tie between Brady Portenier on Big Twist ( Cowtown Rodeo) and Tristan Mize on Sea of Sorrow (Rafter G Rodeo) who had matching 88 point rides in Round 2 to earn Portenier a spot in the Wild Card round.

In the men's timed events, Stan Branco took first in Round 1 with his 3.8 second run for a spot in the semifinals with Levi Rudd. Clayton Hass and Levi Rudd tied for first in Round 2 with 3.8 second runs. Dirk Tavenner will be moving on in the Wild Card round. In the team roping, Dalton Turner & Jake Minor took first in Round 1 with their 5.0 second run. Riley Kittle & Will Woodfin took first in Round 2 with their 3.6 second run for a spot in the Wild Card round. Advancing onto the semifinals is Bubba Buckaloo & Joseph Harrison and Jaxson Tucker & Tyler Worley. In the tie-down roping Riley Webb took first in Round 1 with his 8.0 second run and will be advancing on to the semifinals with Dylan Hancock who took first in Round 2 with his 7.4 second run. Tuf Cooper snagged a spot in the Wild Card round.

In the women's timed events, Hali Williams took first in Round 1 with her 2.1 second run to move onto the semifinal round with Joey Williams. Jill Tanner took first in Round 2 with her 2.1 second run. Moving on in the Wild Card round is Macy Young. In the barrel racing, Andrea Busby took first in Round 1 with her 16.33 second run to advance to the semifinals with Kassie Mowry who took first in Round 2 with her 16.13 second run. Megan McLeod-Sprague is moving onto the Wild Card round.
