Field of Dreams Stampede

Field of Dreams Stampede August 5-6th at the La Crete Rodeo Grounds in La Crete, Alberta.

Wyatt Maines, riding City Creek (Prairie Rodeo) and Jacob Stemo, on Barcelona City (Outlaw Buckers) tied for first place in bareback riding with 85.5 points, earning $2,301 each.

Owen Schauer secured first place in steer wrestling with a time of 4.1 seconds to earn $2,953.

In the team roping, Derek Hadland and Jackson Braithwaite secured first place with a time of 5.1 seconds, earning $2,724 each. In the saddle bronc riding there was a tie for first between Kyle Wanchuk on Trail Boss (Prairie Rodeo) and Kolby Wanchuk on Memory Burn (Outlaw Buckers), with both cowboys scoring 85.5 point rides to take home $2,421 each. In the tie-down roping there was an exciting tie for first place between Murray Pole and Braden Brost, both clocking in at an impressive 8.7 seconds and earning $2,720 each. Pamela Morrison claimed first place in the barrel racing with a time of 17.17 seconds, to net her $3,083. Bradi Whiteside took first place in breakaway roping with a time of 2.1 seconds, to pocket $1,649. Jared Parsonage took first in the bull riding with his big 84 points on Up The Creek (Vold Rodeo) for $3,784. Outlaw Buckers’ Rodeo and Vold Rodeo were the stock contractors. Cody Strandquist and Cantrell Gravelle provided the cowboy protection and  Darcy McKinney and Jason Resch were the pickup men.
