The Farm-City Pro Rodeo was held August 6-9th at the Farm-City Arena in Hermiston, Oregon. All-around cowboy went to Wacey Schalla who earned himself $13,559 for entering the bareback riding and bull riding.
In the roughstock events, Richmond Champion took first in the first round of the bareback riding for his perfect 89.5 point ride on Rubber Match (Korkow Rodeos) for $5,283. Wacey Schalla took first in the second round for his big 89.5 points on Disco Party (Calgary Stampede) for $5,283 and first in the average for 175.5 points on two head to earn another $5,283. Brody Wells took first in the first round for his flawless 90 point ride on Annual News (Calgary Stampede) for $13,329. Rawley Johnson took first in the bull riding for his impressive 89.5 points on Stand By Me (Corey & Lange Rodeo) for $16,216.
There was a tie for first in the steer wrestling between Ty Erickson, Eli Lord and Tyler Waguespack, with both bulldoggers stopping the clock at 3.8 second to take home $4,405 each. Denell Henderson took first in the second round for his 3.7 second to earn $5,065. Ty Erickson also took first in the average for 7.6 seconds on two head for an additional $7,598.
In the first round of the team roping, Devon McDaniel & Chris Young took first for their 4.6 second run to pocket $4,781 each. There was a tie in the second round between Kaleb Driggers & Junior Nogueira and Kellan Johnson & Carson Johnson, with both teams stopping the clock at 4.2 seconds to take home $4,469 each. Andrew Ward & Jake Long took first in the average for 10.0 seconds on two head to net them $7,172 each.
Seth Hall took first in the first round of the tie-down roping for his 8.3 second run to earn $5,065. There was a tie for first in the second round between Tanner Green and Riley Mason Webb, with both athletes stopping the clock at 7.9 seconds to take home $4,735 each. Riley Mason Webb took first in the average for 16.5 seconds on two head to net him $7,598.
Tayla Moeykens took first in the barrel racing for her 16.81 second run to earn $13,743. There was a tie for first in the first round of the breakaway roping between Shelby Boisjoli-Meged, Erin Johnson and Macy Young, with both ladies stopping the clock at 2.1 seconds to pocket $3,093 each. There was also a tie in the second round between Cheyanne McCartney, Aspen Miller, and Hali Williams, with all three ladies having matching 2.0 second runs to take home $3,093 each. Erin Johnson took first in the average for 4.5 seconds on two head to net her $5,680.
Calgary Stampede provided the stock along with sub-contractors Korkow Rodeos, Corey & Lange Rodeo, Remey Parrott, Brent Palmer, and Bridwell Pro Rodeos. Nathan Jestes and Beau Schueth provided the cowboy protection and Tyler Kraft and Jacob Stacy were the pickup men.
