Perf 2

Things are heating up in Perf 2 in the third round and there were some changes in the leaderboard. In the bareback riding, Clarendon College's freshman Carson Hildre had an 85 point ride on Sweet Caroline (MoBetta Rodeo), putting him at the top of the overall standings with a total of 243.25 points. Hildre is also currently ranked 21st in the PRCA world standings and sitting first in the Resistol Rookie of the Year race.
Cameron Haumea, from Sul Ross State University, took the lead in the steer wrestling with his 4.0 second run. He currently sits at fourth overall with a chance to be in the top 12 to advance to the championship finals. Clay Tom Hurt, from Sam Houston State University, is at the top of the bulldogging leaderboard with almost a full 4 second advantage over the competition with his total time of 14.4 seconds on three head.

University of Wyoming junior Josie Mousel stopped the clock in 6.2 seconds to move to second in the third round and the top of the overall standings with18.0 seconds. Mousel is also competing in the breakaway roping. By competing in both events, she is also a contender for the women’s all-around championship.
Denton Parish and Brock Borkman from Weatherford College in Texas were white hot in their team roping run and stopped the clock in 4.3 seconds to move to fourth overall. Brothers Sanders and Scout McElroy tied with them to split first.
Weatherford College's Mecate Trammell had an 86.5 point ride on Uncle Kneebanger (MoBetta Rodeo) to take first in the third round. He has covered two of his three bulls and is in a good position to advance to Saturday night’s finals.
Perf 3
It was another night of leaderboard changes with Waitley Sharon bumping up to the top of the overall leaderboard by taking first with his 84.5 points on Disco Fever (Muddy Creek Pro Rodeo) for a combined 249 points total on three head. His younger brother, Traven had an 82 point ride on Red Man (Muddy Creek) to take second place in the third round to move up to fourth overall with 235.25 points. Both are in a good position to advance to Saturday night's championship.

Hayden Welsh, riding for Texas’ Odesssa College, was able to cover his bull in round one and scored 83.75 points tonight on Mr Brightside (Summit Pro Rodeo) to move to the lead in the overall standings with a combined130 points on two rides. There have only been five bull riders who have earned scores on two bulls, putting him in a good position to advance to Saturday. Welsh is also fourth in the PRCA world standings and along with trying to win his first CNFR title, he could also qualify for this year's Wrangler National Finals Rodeo.

Acey Pinkston of Weatherford College is second in the overall standings with a time of 41.36 seconds on three runs behind Devin Young of Texas A&M University, who has the overall lead with 41.20 seconds. Pinkston had a slower run than her previous two with a time of 13.91 seconds last night, but still fast enough to keep her near the top of the leaderboard.
The fourth performance of the CNFR will start at 7 p.m. on Friday night and determine who will advance to the final spots for Saturday’s championship round.
