Augusta American Legion Rodeo

The Augusta American Legion Rodeo was held June 29th at the American Legion Rodeo Grounds in Augusta, Montana. All-around cowboy was awarded to Ryder Gaasch along with a check for $1,308 for competing in the tie-down roping, steer wrestling, and team roping. He also took first in the tie-down roping with his 14.1 second run to ear another $1,090.  Jake Kesl took first in the bareback riding for his 79 point ride on Leroy Brown (Duane Kesler) for $733. Ross Mosher took first in the steer wrestling with his quick 4.8 second run to earn $954. Cade Holladay & Wyatt Schearer took first in the team roping with their 7.1 second run to take home $1,261 each. There was a tie for first in the saddle bronc riding between Caiden Gray on Tall Timber (Duane Kesler) and Jarrod Hall on Snow Bear (Duane Kesler) with both riders scoring 81.5 point rides to take home $773 each. In the tie-down roping, Ryder Gaasch took first with his 14.1 second run to earn $1,090. Ashley Schad was fastest around the cans with her 17.74 second run to take home $856. There was a tie for first in the breakaway roping between Paige Camp and Murphy Gaasch with both ladies stopping the clock at 2.7 seconds for a $1,407 check each. Tristan O'Neal was the only bull rider to successfully cover his bull with his 68 point ride on Rodeo Revolver (Fettig Pro Rodeo) for $2,068. Duane Kesler provided the stock along with sub-contractors Mo Betta Rodeo, Fettig Pro Rodeo, Jhet Murphy, Mike Tatsey, and Dustin Bird. David Lewis and Dustin Gintaut were the pickup men and Ruger Jennings and Dakoda Simmes kept the bull riders safe.
